Chapter Five: Is she One?

     What's so important that you wanna tell me about Bee. I asked out of curiosity.
Immediately her voice became deeper. I was told to tell you, she began. To tell you that you're the last of your kind and you need to stay safe. You're being hunted now.
Hunted?  Last of my kind? What the hell are you saying Brenda.  I yelled.
It was only now that I realised that her eyeballs were pure black, I scurried back a bit in fear. This wasn't Brenda.  Is she being possessed right now or what?
Her voice snapped me back to life.
You must be careful of the shadows. They are out to get you. She said finishing her statement and her eyes went back to those dreamy green eyes they used to be.
Brenda? I sat up and called out her name. She answered me but now her voice was back to normal it wasn't the deep possessive voice it was earlier.
I stared at her with utmost unbelief, wondering what just happened in my face.
Hey Octa,are you okay...?  Why you looking at me like that. I know it was bad of me not letting you on that I won't be in school on Monday, but can you believe this?  Even I didn't know I wont be  attending.
I was trying to get out of the shock I was just thrown into.
Oh,  oh,  you didn't know.. ? Well that's new.  I was gonna call you after class but I guess landing in the hospital three days after that I forgot to call.
So where were you? I enquired
I don't even know where I was. I can't quite remember anything very well.  It's like there are holes in my memory.
She looked at me and smiled.
Anyway, what have you eaten,cuz  I brought your favorite, "chocolates".
Oh yeah baby...  You're the best.
I still wasn't stable with all what was going on but I flowed with it.
But is she the shadow or is she part of them or was I hallucinating again? What's going on? Are all those scenario I was seeing for real?  Or just a shade of my imagination?
Either way!  I don't like an inch of it.
