Chapter 30

'' You've been to my parents' house a thousand times before Mia. You have no reason to be nervous, don't forget that Dean and the twins will be there''

Roman looked down at me and pulled me into a hug. He couldn't kiss me in front of Lucy, he still had to explain everything to her soon but definitely not now.

Lucy giggled as she was being squeezed between us.

Although our relationship was out in the open not many people knew as there was only one recent report stating that. But because of the many reports in the past no one really paid any attention to it. That is why I was especially nervous about being here because I knew that Roman would want to make it very clear to them that it wasn't just rumours.

The door opened as we were still in our group hug.

''You guys cant stay out here whole night and miss the BBQ!''

It was Regina, Roman's older sister.

Roman squeezed us tighter before laughing and letting go.

'' Hey sis, do you have a tracker or something. How did you know we were outside?'' he asked as he walked into the house, Lucy got into her Aunt's arms.

He held his hand out for me and I grabbed it and followed him in.

''I heard that engine of yours! Mia! I haven't seen you since last Thanksgiving, how have you been?'' She embraced me as Lucy got squeezed in again.

'' I've been really good''

'' I hope my brother has been taking care of you while on the road, since you are a part of the family'' her expression was serious.

'' Yes he has taken very good care of me'' I smiled back at her.

'' Hey we need some more beer in... Oh hey guys , took you long enough!'' Dean waltzed in with Renee, who I could tell was very nervous since this was her first time with the Samoan clan who had become his family as well as mine over the past two years.

'' Uncle Dean!'' Lucy wiggled out of her aunt's arms and ran up to Dean who scooped her up into his arms.

'' Hey Luc!'' he gave her a big hug.

'' Roman can you just bring a few packs of beer to the back'' Regina called back as we followed Dean out into the yard.

They had a massive yard which made their clan seem smaller than they actually were. I didn't know who to greet as many of them smiled at me and I waved.

I felt Renee tug my arm and I turned.

'' I am so glad you are here, I've been here for about three hours and I have felt so awkward. Dean is just enjoying himself while he's forgetting that this is my first time with them and I don't want to ruin his night by nagging''

I gave her a hug as I could see how uneasy she felt and I remember the relief that rushed over her face when she walked in with Dean and saw me.

'' They can be really overwhelming , but I'm kinda used to it cause my dad loved throwing big parties as well. Although they have big differences in how they go down, don't worry you can stick with me. Trust me I am going to need you more than you need me tonight. Roman is breaking the news that I am really his girlfriend tonight , which in my opinion is way to soon''

'' Mia they love you, I'm sure this wont change that at all. Sure some of them might be a bit against the idea but they'll come around and besides, its not like there is bad blood between you and Jenna. You guys are still good friends so that should convince them even more''
