Chapter 38

''You're up early!'' I heard John's voice and looked up.

I had a purple shorts on with a white crop top which showed off my abs and a pair of sandals. My hair was loose and still a bit damp from the shower but was drying. He was shirtless with a pair of sweats and took a seat next to me on the patio.

''Yeah I couldn't sleep, so I figured I would get done. I see you and Nikki fell asleep on the couch.''

'' Yeah I guess that we were pretty tired, you okay?''

I sipped from my coffee which I had in my hands.

'' Roman's angry at me, well not really angry but he's just acting weird and giving me the silent treatment''

John sighed.

'' You guys just made up a few days ago!''

'' I know that's why I wont bring it up with him and hopefully he'll be fine once he wakes up''

'' He was probably just groggy that's all, we all have our days''

I nodded in agreement.

'' Morning!'' Nikki took a seat next to me holding a cup of coffee in her hand, she was wearing an orange maxi-dress with sandals and her hair was loose.

'' I didn't know you were up?''

'' I got up after I felt John get up, I saw you guys talking and decided to take a quick shower. I still feel so tired but I cant sleep, it must've been because of my sleeping location'' she laughed.

'' Well ladies since you guys are all done , I think I should head up for a shower as well!'' he disappeared into the house.

''Where's Roman?'' Nikki asked while checking her messages.

'' There he is'' I saw him walk into the kitchen wearing a vest and a cargo pants with John following behind him.

They were discussing something serious and I really wish I had known what they were talking about. I got up and Nikki followed as we went inside and their discussion immediately ended.

'' We interrupt something?'' I asked raising an eyebrow.

'' Nope! I think we should go out for breakfast because I am sick of pancakes and waffles'' John smiled.

We nodded in agreement. I walked past Roman and followed John to the car.

The entire ride to the cafe I had been pretty quiet, I had so much on my mind I guess and something was definitely up with Roman. He had held my hand in the car but never said a word to me so I was pretty confused, but I knew I needed to change my attitude as we would be seeing Lucy soon.

We arrived at the cafe and Roman opened the door for me as I got out. He held my hand and I tugged on it so that he would turn around and he did.

I pulled him closer to me and leaned up to kiss him full on. I wrapped my hands around his neck and his hands went down to my bottom and gave it a squeeze.

I pulled back and smiled up at him. If there were paparazzi I seriously hope that their view was blocked by the car. He shifted his arms and wrapped it around my waist.

He was grinning, '' What was that for?''

I leaned up and grazed my lips over his and looked into his eyes, '' I am madly in love with you... thats all!''

I gripped his hand and pulled him into the cafe before he could respond.

'' We ordered for you guys!'' Nikki smiled as I took a seat next to her and Roman sat opposite me next to John in the booth.

I looked down and saw a cheese omelet with a glass of orange juice they knew me well, we dug in immediately.

'' Well you were right! We definitely needed a change from pancakes and waffles, that was amazing!'' Roman beamed.

'' Are you sure its breakfast that has got you so satisfied or was it that make-out session you guys had before you came in?'' Nikki smirked and raised an eyebrow at him.

He rolled his eyes at her playfully.

'' Hey don't roll your eyes at me. I'm just happy that you're in a better mood because you woke up pretty grumpy this morning!''

He smiled at her, '' Had a late night with Eva them that's all''

'' Have you phoned Jenna to ask if Lucy is ready yet?'' I needed to change the subject.

'' Uhm about that. She's at my parent's place...''

Silence filled the table.

'' Oh well have you let them know that we will be picking her up?'' I had to act fine, this day had to be amazing, nothing was going to ruin it.

He just nodded, there was a bit of tension at the table now.

''We should get going'' John eventually broke the silence and we left the cafe.

We pulled into the drive way, ''You don't have to come with me if you don't feel comfortable. I can just go and get her...''

I smiled at him. '' I'm cool''

We walked up to the house and his mom opened up. She smiled warmly at me and gave me a hug, she was treating me like she normally would which surprised me.

Lucy came running and Roman picked her up and we took off. It wasn't so bad, I think they were finally warming up to the idea of Roman and I being together.

'' I see Candy Floss guys!'' We walked over to the stall and Roman bought three, so we could share and Lucy could have her own as it was her favourite.

'' I wanna try that! I have never held a gun in my life so I'm sure it would be fun '' I looked back to the others.

''Well you have held a pistol before!'' Roman smirked at me while the others laughed.

I gasped, '' Roman! Please Lucy is here!'' he just laughed with the others.

'' Nikki, wanna join me?''

'' Sure''

I was missing most of the targets, my aim was pretty bad.

'' Come on baby you can do better than that!'' I heard Roman's voice behind me.

I turned my head and rolled my eyes at him. He playfully kicked my behind as I took my last shot. I heard Lucy laughing, because of him I missed my last shot.

Nikki won a little elephant , she lift Lucy into her arms and gave it to her.

'' Well I sucked at that!'' I was pouting at Roman as John and Nikki moved on with Lucy.

He pulled me into his arms and looked down at me. '' That gun was messed up man, these people do it on purpose so that people can continue playing and they can make more bucks'' he smiled at me sympathetically.

'' Nah I just suck Ro, but thanks!'' I leaned up and gave him a quick kiss.

He let me out of his embrace and held my hand as we caught up with the others.

'' John, your throw isn't that good hey!'' Roman teased while he was beating John at throwing hoops.

'' I'm just going easy on you man'' John chuckled.

'' Yeah sure.... he shoots he scores! Sorry John a win is a win'' he was beaming and Lucy was cheering while I held her.

Roman turned to us.

I put Lucy down and he leaned down to her, '' a dog for my princess'' he handed her a stuffed puppy and then stood up and handed me a huge panda bear.

'' And for you baby girl'' he winked at me and smirked.

'' John I want a panda as well!'' John rolled his eyes playfully at Nikki.
