CHAPTER 4 - The Dark Ones

"I'm sorry, I didn't have the chance to get your name last night, I was too busy trying to save your life!.." The man was wearing the same tuxedo that he was last night, he stood up and went over to a cabinet to grab a bottle of whiskey and two glasses before speaking again "..if I'm correct, you're 19, right?.." Connor answered with his age, 19, and the boss of the building sat back at his desk and the bouncer ushered Connor to sit down with him,  afterwards, the heavy set gentleman took several steps back until he was in a dark part of the room and out of sight.

"Connor? was it? Connor Brown. I'm sure by now you've had the time to get to know Mitch? He may seem intimidating, but in reality he's thick as pig shit, so you don't need to be scared.." He then poured the whiskey into the two glasses "..well come on then, speak up, we need to know more than just your name and your age?!" He wasn't getting annoyed in the slightest, ok maybe a little, but he was put at ease when Connor spoke.

"Well, I don't really have many interesting stories or information to tell you about, the only thing I really have to say is, what the fuck is going on!?" he had a slight pinch of fear in his voice, but mostly anger and confusion.

"I suggest you calm down before the boss really loses his temper, then, you'd be fucked." A voice came from the back of the room and three figures stepped forward.

"Now then.." the boss exclaimed with a toothy grin "..time for you to meet your new team"

CHAPTER 5 - The Power

Turns out even the boss had the same tattoo on his wrist as the three at the back of the room, but what did it mean?

"this tattoo was engraved into our skin as soon as our powers were unlocked and they stay on us as long as we live." The boss spoke in a tone that can only be described as one used when you're about to get a sacred family treasure put into your possession "you'll get yours soon, but first your power needs to be unlocked." At this point Connor was more confused than he had ever been, so of course he had questions.

"Wait! What power?!" there was a cold strike across his head, from a female.

"maybe if you shut up, he'll tell you!" the girl was obviously not the type to be happy, because of things she said and the faces she pulled.

"Yes, thank you Christine, anyway, this power has been given to us in multiple ways, allow us to demonstrate." the four of them then walked into the centre of the room and it was almost like everything was happening at once. All of them in unison started to glow and parts of their body began to turn purple, it was almost like they had some sort of supernatural ability that they could use to change the world.

'Woah, these lot are insane, I mean, this is exactly what happens when the events that happen last night happen in real life, you end up with this, you end up feeling like you're trippin' balls while people turn purple.' It felt like Connors world had been completely flipped on its head, with all that has happened in not even a day and now he's being tested to see if he can fit in to a group he doesn't even know about yet.. of course there were questions, it was obvious that there would be from the start, but he could only manage one at the time of the event

"Who?.. Who are you guys" Connor asked gazing at the four glowing people in awe as they displayed high levels of supernatural power and the fact that he was still there even baffled me.. the narrator, if I was there, I would be straight out of that fuckin' door. The boss spoke..

"We.. are the dark ones.." the light grew brighter and it blinded Connor but only for a moment, he looked around to see where they were, the dust cleared and Connor could not believe his eyes at what saw.. but then the boss spoke once more 

"..Welcome to the team."
