Hello my readers,

I know it has been a VERY VERY VERY long time since I have updated - like over 2 years I think. BUT - I am still here! Lots has happened in my life, and I'm sure with all of yours too, especially after we all lived through some CRAZY world shit.

I've had a few job changes, and I'm writing a book! It's fantasy, LGBTQIA+ friendly and hopefully published someday. I've moved in with my fiancé - yes fiancé, I got engaged earlier this year!

My wedding is a couple years away still but I'm so excited for it.

I also have so many new fanfiction ideas and I hope I can start writing them eventually - I have some rough drafts of some and they're more about Hiccstrid's kids grown up and living their lives.

But shall we get on with the story?
 Enjoy!

It had been six months since they had Ella. Hailey adored her but always asked when she would be big enough to play with her. Astrid was baking in the kitchen while they had a show on the TV and Hailey played with Ella on the living room floor.

It was snowing outside, it was mid-November and Astrid was smiling at her daughters well she made a mug of hot cocoa.

Hiccup was at the coffee shop working, he was reading out of a textbook. He had gone back to school in September, after Astrid's father offered to help pay for the schooling. He even offered to pay for Astrid to go back to school, it was hard but she wanted to be there for Hailey and Ella fully while Hiccup finished his schooling first. He only had one year left to do, where she would have to go through four. So letting Hiccup finish well they both worked was the better option. Astrid had also never been so grateful for Valerie, Hiccup's mom. She watched the girls in a heartbeat whenever they needed her too.

Hiccup smiled to himself thinking about his little family. Gary came into the break room and saw Hiccup writing some notes down.

"How's the schooling goin' lad?" Gary asked him. Hiccup looked up from his notes at Gary.

"Pretty good actually. I've gotten perfect on all my assignments so far. Luckily I did a co-op in my third year before I had to stop school after getting Cami pregnant. So this year is just about classes and graduating." Hiccup told him.

"and then you goin' leave me for a some stuck-up job at a architecture firm." Gary told him. Hiccup smirked.

"Well, no offence, it would pay better. Then I can pay Astrid's dad back too. I'm sure you'll have Astrid around for a while still. Don't worry, I'll come visit." Hiccup told him.

"You gonna find me a replacement for yourself too before you leave. I need someone that's as good as you." Gary told him.

"Last I checked, it's your job to hire people." Hiccup told him. The bell for the front door rang and Hiccup got up to go out to the front and help the customer.

After work, Hiccup parked at the mall and went inside. He walked around until he found the store he was looking for. A jewelry store. He was looking at rings. Engagement rings. A lady came up to him on the other side of the counter.

"Hello, may I help you find something?" She asked. Hiccup looked up at her.

"I'm just looking for a ring for my girlfriend." He told her. Hiccup was scanning the rings and he saw one with a light blue jewel in it. He pointed to it. "How much is that one?" He asked her.

The lady opened the case and grabbed the ring he was pointing at. She pulled it out so he could see it up close.

"It's $1500." She told him. Hiccup kept looking at it.

"Size?" He asked her.

"It comes in a 7.5 but we can resize it if you need too." She told him. Hiccup stared at it.

"I'll take it." Hiccup said and pulled out his credit card.

When  Hiccup got home he went upstairs to hide the ring in his bedside table. He came back downstairs and walked into the kitchen. He saw fresh baked cookies on the counter and took one. Astrid looked over from the living room seeing him.

"Hey, you're home a little late." She walked over to him and Hiccup kissed her.

"Sorry, I had to stop somewhere." He told her. He walked over to Hailey and Ella and kissed their heads. "What's for dinner?" He asked her.

"I thought we could have chicken, with some veggies and rice." She told him. "Where did you go?"

"That sounds good, love." Hiccup said avoiding her second question. Astrid looked at him confused, and then smiled as he sat on the ground with the girls to play with them. She walked around the counter to start on dinner.

Alright, that's it for this chapter.

I will do my absolute best to not make you guys wait as long for an update. But I do work two jobs, so I don't always have a ton of time to sit and write - which makes writing my book or fanfictions very difficult.

But I've been having more inspiration and motivation to write fanfictions especially, lately, so hopefully that keeps up and I can update soon and maybe even start a new fanfic for you guys.

I'm also waiting for my reading motivation to come back. lol.

Have a great day/night wherever you guys are.
