Everything To Me

Chapter 22

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well. I got to see Demi Lovato in concert this last weekend and it was amazing! I was pretty close to the front as well, which was an amazing experience.  I'm going to see BLACKPINK in a few weeks as well with my best friend who also came to Demi's concert with me! 

Anyway, I hope some fun things have been happening for you guys!

Hiccup and Astrid were sitting in the police station. Ella was with Hiccup's mom. 

"I'm switching her schools." Hiccup said. Astrid looked at him. 

"Cami will be locked up for taking her. It's kidnapping." Astrid told him. 

"Will she? She changed things on official school forms to get her out of class. They may considered it fine. I just want Hailey somewhere that Cami can't find her." Hiccup told her.

"Hiccup, she doesn't have custody rights to her. They'll see that and deem it as a kidnapping."  

He sighed. Astrid held his hand. "They're gonna get her back." She reassured him.

"What if Cami took her far away or does something to her?" Hiccup said.  Astrid squeezed his hand. 

"We'll get her back. Cami hasn't responded to you at all?" Astrid asked him. Hiccup shook his head and checked his phone again. He unlocked it and opened his messages to Cami. He typed something and sent it to her.

Cami saw the police car pull over to the side of the road, and relaxed a little continuing to drive. She saw their exist and got on it and headed into Berserk City. They pulled into a parking lot not far from the highway and stopped. Sean and Cami got out.

"Where are they?" Cami asked. 

"They're coming." Sean said to her. 

Cami looked and saw Hailey sitting in her car seat and watched her wipe tears from her face. Cami's phone dinged and she looked at it, seeing a message from Hiccup.

Cami, please bring her back. I will give you anything. I just want Hailey back and safe.

Cami sighed. A black SUV pulled up next to them in the parking lot. Cami locked her phone and walked over. 

"Everything is in the car?" She asked the person driving. 

"Yeah, except for what you need for the kid." They told her. Cami nodded.

"I'll just move her stuff over." Cami said. The other person got out of the SUV and Cami went and opened Hailey's door and unbuckled her. "Come on. Get out." 

Hailey got down and out and stood by the car and watched Cami grab all of their stuff from the car. She looked over and saw the strange person talking to Sean. Hailey backed up along the car and went to the back of it.  She looked the one way and saw it went into a field, the other way went to the road. Hailey looked back for a moment and saw them still distracted. Hailey counted to herself. 

1... She looked for a direction to the road to go in.  
2...  She took a couple steps towards the road. 
3... She looked one more time and then ran.

Hailey ran down the road and didn't look behind her. She saw a car parked on the side of the road up a bit. She tried running as fast as she could and screamed. 

"HELP ME!!" Hailey screamed. 

Cami heard her scream and got out from the car and looked around. "Damn it!" She looked at Sean and glared at him. "Where the hell did she go?!" Cami yelled at him. Sean shrugged. Cami ran to the road and saw Hailey up the road a bit running and yelling. Cami ran after her. Hailey saw her come after her and tried running faster, yelling again. 

The person in the car looked up when they heard the scream and saw the little girl. They then saw Cami running after her. The person got out of their and Hailey ran to them. Hailey looked up at the lady, recognizing her. 

"Heather?" Hailey said. Heather looked at her and back at Cami. Heather picked Hailey up and put her in the car and got in and locked it. 

"Hailey, who is that?" Heather asked her. 

"That's Cami, she's my real mom but she isn't allowed to have me. She took me from school today." Hailey told her. Cami stood near the car. Heather pulled out her phone and called Astrid.

Astrid had her head leaning on Hiccup's shoulder when her phone started ringing. She looked at it and saw it was Heather. She stood up and picked it up.

 "Heather?" Astrid said. 

"I have Hailey." Heather told her. 

"What?!" Astrid said and whirled to look at Hiccup. Hiccup looked at Astrid. "How?!" Astrid asked. 

"I'm parked on the side of Outcast lane, the side highway off the main one. She came running up the side of the road towards my car and I got out and saw her and some women trying to catch up to her. I have Hailey in my car with me and the women is about 10 feet from my car and won't leave." Heather told Astrid. 

"Is she okay?!" Astrid asked. Hiccup stood up when Astrid said that. 

"She seems fine, I don't see any marks on her. I think they were just driving." Heather said. Heather looked out the window and saw a guy coming up to Cami. "Oh gods." 

"What?" Astrid asked. 

"Sean is with the women." Heather told her. "He just walked up to her."

"Hold on." Astrid told her and put her phone against her shoulder. She looked at Hiccup. "Heather has Hailey. Sean is with Cami." Hiccup's eyes widened. "We need to tell an officer." Astrid told him.

Hiccup looked over and found one of the officers they had been talking too earlier and walked over to him. They explained that Astrid's friend was on the phone right now and had Hailey. The officer asked if they could talk to her. "Just give me a second." Astrid said and went back on the phone. She handed it to the officer a moment later and the officer spoke to Heather for a few minutes to get a location and what her car looked like. The officer told them to stay there and wait for them to get there.

Hailey was sitting in the front seat of Heather's car waiting for Heather to get off the phone. Heather hung up and looked at Hailey. 

"The cops are gonna come and we're gonna get you back home." Heather told her. Hailey nodded. 

They waited a little bit and then heard sirens. Cami and Sean looked down the road and saw multiple cop cars coming and two of them headed closer to where they had parked with the strange man. One pulled up beside Heathers car. Heather saw it was the Berserk City police and they obviously had been contacted by Berk's police to have gotten here so quickly. Cami and Sean tried running back to their car and the cops were already out and had the one guy arrested and saw them. They went after Sean and Cami grabbing them and arresting them. 

The third cop got out of his car and knocked on Heather's car window. Heather got out and walked around to him. 

"You have Hailey?" The cop asked her. Heather nodded. 

"She's sitting in the car right now. She came running up to the car and I'm a friend of her dad's girlfriend. She knew who I was." Heather told them. The cop nodded. Heather opened the car do and looked at Hailey. Hailey looked at her and the cop.

"I want daddy." Hailey said. The cop knelt down to Hailey. 

"We're gonna bring you to your daddy, okay?" the cop told her. Hailey nodded and got out of the car. The cop opened his car door for her and Hailey climbed in.

Back at the station in Berk, an officer told Hiccup and Astrid that they caught Cami and Sean and had Hailey. Hiccup sighed in relief. They asked if they wanted them to bring her here or if Hiccup wanted to go to Berserk City and pick her up. Hiccup looked at Astrid. 

"We should go get her." Astrid said. Hiccup nodded. They thanked the officer and got ready to drive to Berserk City to get Hailey.

That's all for this chapter! This took me way longer to write then I wanted, but I kept getting stuck on some parts on what to do.
