"About?"

I asked concerned. Dabi grinned.

"Drive to this location we can't talk here."

He said as he showed me an address. I nodded as I started the car back up. Thirty minutes of awkward silence later we arrived at an abandoned house of some sort.

"You're bringing me to your house now?"

I asked as I parked the car in the driveway. He chuckled.

"No, this isn't my house anymore."

"Any more?"

I asked as I looked at him.

"That story is for another time."

Dabi said. He continued to speak.

"Now about today. You almost compromised the mission."

My mind flashed back to our battle.

"Well, you were going to kill a whole family! I couldn't let that happen!"

I exclaimed.

"It was all for the mission Eria, sometimes you have to put emotions aside to do something."

"You didn't put your emotions aside when you said half those things to me during the battle."

I mumbled.

"What was that? Eria, I hate mumbling."

Dabi sneered. I glared into his eyes.

"That shit you said to me, that was probably how you really felt. Am I right?"

Dabi let out a long sigh.

"I like you Eria, I like you a lot."

He said as he looked at me. My cheeks instantly heated up.

Wait he like-likes me?

I thought as I continued to look at him.

"Part of the reason I chose you for this, is because I've observed you for a while. I knew you had what it takes for this job."

"Who are you?"

I interrupted. He raised a brow as he looked at me concerned.

"Dabi."

"No, your real name."

"Dabi."

I sighed. We sat in awkward silence for a couple of minutes. I reflected on what he had said back then.

"Can you at least tell me a little bit about your past?"

I asked looking up at him. He groaned.

"Like I said, you're in no position to ask any questions."

He said.

"Yeah yeah, would be helpful to know the person I'm working for though. Even if it's just your real name."

I said as I looked at him.

"Never gonna tell you."

"Why?"

I asked softly.

"Cause, the person I was is dead."

He said looking out of the window.

"Oh, I see."

I said.

A couple of minutes of silence passed before Dabi finally spoke again.

"What you said was true back there. I did want to be a hero once."

Dabi said as he looked at me.

"Really? Why didn't you become one? You would have made a great hero! We could have even worked together!"
