Time. . .
That's all there is. . .
And all that's left.
We have time,
But there's no control over it.
We get what we are given.
We do not choose how fast or slow the days progress.
Yet when we are enjoying ourselves,
Time moves quickly.
It quickens the dreams we treasure the most.
It stretches' out the nightmares we dread.
We do not have the power to stop time.
We cannot turn back the clock,
Or beckon it forward.
We are simply taken along for the ride.
Only. . .
We have no knowledge of when the ride will stop.
Time. . .
That's all there is. . .
