YN POV

I just finished 8th period so I just casually wait a few minutes until the hallways are clear to shove the letter I wrote to Ricky through his locker. I then procede to walk to my locker and clear my stuff out.

—Finally, summer.— I threw out all the loose papers I know I didn't need anymore and walked out of school, sitting outside.

Ricky POV

I'm sitting at my desk, looking at the clock, feeling like I'm in the first scene of high school musical 2. I keep repeating the word "summer" inside my head until the bell rings. I jump out out my chair and walk with Big Red to my locker.

—SUMMER!! No winter musical, no spring musical, I'm free.— I said exaggerating.

—Ricky, you and I both know you love Carlos and Seb.— Big Red told me.

—Red, they already started their vacation, I'm fine, now help me clean out my locker.— I told him and I saw a letter so I shoved it in my backpack meanwhile I threw out all the loose papers and Red threw out my old notebooks.— I'm gonna look for Nini.

—Good luck with that.— Red told me and I left the building and saw Nini and YN talking.— Hey ladies.

—Hey Ricky.— they told me.

—YN, you are most definitely coming to EJ's party with me.— Nini said as she went on her phone.

—What party?— I asked them.

—EJ is throwing a party to celebrate the last day of school. I'm obviously going and YN is coming with.— Nini said.

—And why can't I come?— I asked.

—Everyone is invited, I just need to make sure Miss Telemundo comes instead of binging telenovelas.— Nin said as she playfully shoved YN.

—Fine, I'll go.— YN said and then I see EJ honk his horn.

—Well, I'm going to EJ's place, see you guys later.— Nini said as she got in EJ's car. I started walking with YN.

—Hey YN, do you think Nini would go out with me?— I asked her.

—Ricky, you aren't exactly her type, she likes older guys, even if it is just a year older, she likes older guys.— YN tells me.

—And if I grow a beard like EJ you think she'll go out with me?— I ask.

—Dude, you can't pull off a beard so the answer is no.— YN tells me.

—What about you? What kind of guy do you want to go out with?— I ask.

—Oh please, I have no standards, I'll even go out with you.— YN says.

—YN, we've been friends for way too long and I do have standards.— I say.

—Whatever, and you? How do you like your girl? 5'5, Filipino, long hair, named Nini? Get over her, bro, she's in love with EJ.— she told me.

—Well don't rub it in.— I tell her.— Oh, and sorry, I can't do Starbucks.

—It was literally your plan. Oh well, Gina is waiting for me at Starbucks, I'll go, you go home, see you at EJ's.— she tells me and walks to Starbucks,

YN POV

Hey Gina, sorry I'm late, Ricky decided to bail last minute. But not to worry, I took his wallet.— I told Gina.

—Okay, so did Ricky say anything about the letter?— Gina asked me. We were in line and before I could answer her, I ordered (your favorite Starbucks drink and snack, if you don't have one or you never been to Starbucks, then a venti caramel frapp with extra caramel at the bottom and a brownie) and Gina ordered a mocha frapp with birthday cake pops.

—He didn't say anything about the letter, I don't think he has opened it yet. I think by the Time we go to EJ's house party he would have read the letter.— I tell her as I take a sip of my drink.

—Oh yeah, his end of the year party. I can't believe he's going to college. And then it will be you and then I'm all alone at East High.— Gina says.

—Calm down.— I told her and then I get a phone call.— What yo Ricky?

Did you take my wallet?— he asked me annoyed.

—Why of course I did, you promised me Starbucks, and you paid for it, thank you, by the way.— I told him.

Just needed to make sure it was you and nit someone else, give me my wallet when you go home.— he said and hung up.

—You still should have told him you liked him before you went off to Spain.— she tells me.

—I know, but I'm leaving for Spain in the end of July for the whole study abroad program,— I tell her. Since my grades were outstanding, the school is letting me study abroad in Spain and it's going to be awesome, I just have no idea how to tell Ricky.

—Have you told Ricky yet?— Gina asked me.

—Not at all....but I will.— I say

—Hopefully.
