I took out my phone and I decided to FaceTime Ricky. After 3 beeps, he picked up.
—Good morning, Ricky.— i said.
—Oh, now you answer your phone. Where were you yesterday?— Ricky asked me with a slightly irrated voice.
—I was put with Gina, Peter, and Pierce. We decided to stay at the lake house til the 12th.— I said,
—And you didn't tell me?— Ricky asked.
—Um, I didn't think it was important. Besides, I don't have to tell you everything that happens on my life, or do I?
—As your best friend, I thunk I should know of you decide to stay another week far from home.
—Oh, so now I'm your best friend?
—Whats that supposed to mean? Whatever, the point is that yesterday I needed help with my date with Nini and you weren't here with me, what kind of best friend are you if you leave me hanging?
—You know exactly what I mean. Look, Ricky, ever since summer started, you've been all about Nini. And you fucking proved my point. All we ever did since summer started was talk about Nini, how were you going to win her over, what to write. Well guess what, Ricky, your universe may revolve around Nini, but mine sure doesn't. You know what? This isn't heathy, we need a break.
—What do you mean a break?
—Well Ricky, until you call me to actually ask about me instead of my help, we won't be talking. I want to enjoy my week at the lake house before I go to Barcelona and I want to enjoy it without drama, without Nini, and without you. I am tired of being casted aside, Ricky. You have a whole week with Nini now, enjoy it.— I said and I hung up. I then felt a blanket over me. It was Gina, she draped the blanket over my shoulders.— What are you doing up?
—I heard your FaceTime fight with Ricky, how are you?— Gina asked me.
—I'm doing surprisingly well. I told him that I was tired of being casted aside and that now he is free for one whole week to talk about Nini and be with her all he wants. I guess you could say I totally lost it.— I said.
—Hey, Ricky deserved it, he was being a major asshole. Besides, I believe that you should know your real worth as a young woman in the 21st Century. You are worth more than what Ricky was making you feel.— Gina said and she hugged me.
—Thanks, Gina. My shower is available if you need it, I guess I'll be making breakfast.— I said.
—Okay, thanks, I'll just have leftovers again. Is this what it it feels to live at your house?— Gina asked me.
—Yep. But my dad eats the leftovers I don't want; which is usually the meat my mom cooks, as in chicken, steak and all that. Anyway, might as well make breakfast while the boys are still asleep,— I walked down the stairs and I saw Peter making breakfast again but this time, Pierce was helping.—Damn, boys, I feel like we are on a couples vacation with you two cooking.— I joked.
—Haha, very funny, YN. I fried some eggs and bacon while Peter made some waffles. He found your godfather's waffle maker in the pantry.— pierce told me. He served me a plate of eggs and bacon while Peter gave me another plate of two waffles with maple syrup and a cut up strawberry on top.
—I'm telling you guys, husband material, no cap.— I said as I took a bite of everything.
—Why thank you. Are you okay? I heard yelling upstairs, did you fight with Ricky?— Peter asked me
—Kinda, I said I felt under appreciated in our friendship and I hung up on him. But it's nothing, now let's keep eating and talk about something positive.— I said. Was I wrong to call Ricky out like that?
