Turning around, I see Brandon on the floor, in a pool of blood.

"No!" I scream as I crouch down beside.

I subtly dial 911 on my phone, for them to hear the commotion for themselves

"Guards. Attack now!" Jace's brother say to his men, but before any of them could make a move, the cops come in

"Drop all weapons. You're being surrounded" the cops say as the paramedics rush to get my brother

"Where is he? Where is Brandon?" Beverly comes rushing in to the hospital

"And what the hell do you think you're doing here? Who gave you the permission or the right to be here?" I ask her, narrowing my eyes at her audacity

"Oh I have every single right to be here since I'm the mother of his unborn child"

She says and I hear my mother gasp behind me

"What did you just say? I knew it! I knew it you bitch."

"Don't call me names Theodetia. I had to do this. I was forced to do this. Don't you see, I had no other alternative. Jace's brother hired me, to get married to Russel if not he would kill Brandon. Soon after i realised I was pregnant and there was no way I could tell him. If I didn't do it too he would hurt the one person I loved the most. So don't you dare call me names when you know nothing about me" she screams, tears trickling down her face.

"So what are you gonna do now?" I ask her in a quiet voice

"I don't know. Now he's been arrested, I guess I'm free. The most painful thing is, he's been fooling me all this while since he's been using Brandon as well"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult your integrity"

"Guess it isn't much of an integrity after all that's happened. And it's okay, you're protective of your brother as he is of you. That is the love I want for my kids"
