Silenced [[COMPLETED]]

Chapter One: The First Step

Stella awoken, she checked the time, 06:16, she always usually slept until noon on Sunday, and she didn't sleep well so she didn't understand why she was up yet, she pushed the mousy brown hair off of her face. She glanced at her 2 friends, Shelly and Elise, her eyes were sore and her head throbbed, what happened? Suddenly she remembered... The party last night, although she was only 16 and couldn't legally drink anything stronger than beer but she had snuck a bottle of Vodka in to "spice things up" as a dare. She sat up and clambered out of bed, she stumbled down the stairs like a zombie, she grabbed the medical cupboard door and pulled it open, she took a couple of aspirins for her and her friends. She dragged her feet back up the stairs and slumped down on the end of the bed, she swallowed one of the aspirins, it tasted bitter. The last thing she remembered was Elise leaving with a tall dude with, blonde hair. She looked over to her friends and Shelly was sitting there her brown to blonde hair pushed behind her shoulders and her dark eyes met Stella's green-blue eyes, Stella jumped,
"Oh my god, you scared me!"Stella whisper-shouted,
"Sorry dude!" Shelly said shrugging off,
"Want one?" Stella asked handing her an aspirin,
"Nah, I don't get hangovers so much, do you know I drank more than you?" Shelly slouched into the airbed she was sitting on, Elise stirred in her sleep,
"Do you remember anything from last night?" Stella stared into the window, her eyes glistening from the sunlight,
"Yeah everything!" Shelly smirked,
"What happened?!" Stella drew her eyes from the window, a look of concern spreading her facial muscles.
"You slept with someone! You know that right? So did Elise!" Shelly giggled,
"You're not serious..." Stella's expression dropped,
"You're not even gonna guess?!" Shelly amused, "It was your crush!"
"JASON?! I didn't wanna tell you but I- AGAIN???" Stella screamed, Elise woke up in a fright,
"OW! MY HEAD! I'm hungover!" Elise softly kicked Stella who sat at the end of the bed,
"Aspirin?" Stella offered, Elise took it and swallowed it almost immediately, "What happened, did I sleep with someone again?" Elise looked at the both of them,
"Yeah, I don't know who!" Shelly yawned, "I'd call Jason if I were you, Stell!"
"Yeah okay, I will now!" Stella grabbed for her phone, "UGH! It's dead! Can I borrow yours Shell?!"
"Okay!" Shelly threw her phone wrecklessly at Stella, Stella caught it and dialed,
"Hey, Jason... Yeah, about last night, that's the 2nd time it's happened in like... 2 weeks?" Stella shot the girls a look, Elise played with her dark brown hair, "What do you mean? Which time? It wasn't there?" Stella brought her hand to her forehead, "Okay, bye!"
"What?" Shelly furrowed her brows,
"He couldn't  find the contraceptive that we used 2 weeks ago, and he didn't tell me!" Stella broke down, "What do I do?!"
"I'll run to the corner shop to get you a pregnancy test." Shelly got up and grabbed her bag, she left, and closed the door behind her, silence. Elise looked worried, her mind trenched through troubles and thoughts for her  best friend, she never wanted her to go through abortion, there's no way she's gonna keep the baby, right?
"Hey, if you are pregnant, are you going to keep the baby?" Elise broke the silence, Stella shuffled around, as she shot Elise a look of concern,
"Grab me a coffee will you, Elise?" Stella avoided the question,
"...but Stell..." Elise started,
"COFFEE NOW!" Stella excused Elise, Elise got up and left to make 3 coffees,
"Hello?" Shelly shouted up the stairs, Stella jumped, she squeezed her eyes shut, but through the tiny gaps between her eyelids escaped a warm tear, rolling softly down her cheeks. Stella ran up the stairs,
"Where's Elise?" Shelly bit her lip, "Hey, it's gonna be okay!" Shelly reassured Stella,
"Elise is downstairs..." Stella trailed off as Shelly pulled out the pregnancy test, "OH GOD, I DON'T WANNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Stella broke down into tears, when she looked up Shelly saw them swimming in her eyes, Shelly pulled Stella into a tight hug,
"You're gonna be fine, okay?" Shelly whispered in Stella's ear, they broke the hug and Stella nodded wiping a large tear from her eye. Stella took the test in her hands and left to the bathroom, shooting Shelly a pleading look, she slammed the door as Shelly heard Elise's loud footsteps thumping up the stairs. She entered the room with three coffees on a tray.
"Here!" Elise handed Shelly a coffee and smiled at her,
"I'm worried for her!" Elise said with uncomfort seeping through her voice. Stella ran out the bathroom,
"I'm done..." Stella came out with the stick in her hands, I have to wait another 30 seconds but realised I don't wanna wait alone!" 30 seconds of silence passed, when waiting, 30 seconds feels like 30 minutes.
