Chapter Twenty-five: Shelly's lucky

"I feel like this is my fault!" Jake sighed, Shelly shook her head, Jake tilted his head to the side,
"Well if Jason and I hadn't gotten in that fight, you'd be okay!" Jake said, he clutched her hand close to his chest,
"Shelly, Jason keeps calling me and he wants to come, do you want him here?" Stella asked calmly, Shelly shook her head vigorously, "He's on facetime so is it okay if I show him what he did to you?" Stella asked sweetly, Shelly knew that that would make him feel horrible so she nodded her head,
"Okay sweetie!" Stella said handing her the phone,
"Shelly, thank god you're okay!" Jason said through the call, Shelly let go of Jake's soft hand and used it to show Jason the middle finger, she then hung up,
"Elle, I didn't know you could be so naughty!" Jake said giving her a mischievous look, Stella knew what he was insinuating,
"Aight I'm gonna throw up! Have fun!" Stella said before leaving, she was actually going to get snacks and two coffees for her and Jake,
"Okay, come back with a chocolate bar and a coffee though!" Jake shouted after her, Shelly pulled a sad face, "The nurse said you can't eat yet!" Jake explain whilst playing with her hair. 5 minutes later, Jason walked in, he spotted Shelly in the end bed,
"Shelly! I was so fucking worried!" Jason said, grabbing Jake's attention, Jake got up,
"Leave!" Jake said pointing at the door, his neck was tense and he couldn't even look at Jason,
"But-" Jason started,
"NOW!" Jake yelled at him, Jason left without another word, Stella came in with the coffees and snacks just as Jason was leaving when they passed eachother Stella gave Jason the dirtiest look ever known to mankind,
"Was that Jason what was he here for-" Stella started before she saw Jake's face turning beetroot red, "Woah dude! What's wrong?" Stella touched his arm, he was warm to the touch,
"That dude fucks me up!" Jake clenched his teeth while saying it, he sort of scared Stella, a nurse dressed in blue, different to the nurse before,
"She can talk now!" Said the nurse, she had a thick Asian accent,
"What happened to her other nurse?" Jake asked,
"End of her shift!" The nurse said whilst taking Shelly's mouthpiece off, "Shelly, you can talk now but no shouting!" The nurse said sternly,
"Okay, thank you!" Shelly said, her voice was weak and her throat was throbbing she needed water down her throat to cool it down, it felt like it was on fire,
"Here is some water, drink it, your throat is weak, inflamed and swollen!" The nurse handed Shelly a room temperature glass of water, Shelly downed it,
"Babe! Oh my god, how are you!" Jake said sitting down next to her once again,
"I'm angry, and hurt, and in pain, and I feel like crying, but you know, otherwise fine!" Shelly whispered to not hurt her throat, it already felt better after the glass of water.
