Chapter Twentytwo: Breakfast

"Good now, get dressed, we're going after Jake and Shelly!" Stella said, then she saw his confused face, "I'm hungry babes!" Then she grabbed her black coat and waited by the door for Jason who hurried downstairs,
"Let's go get breakfast!" Jason said,
"If I know Shelly, which I do, she would've gone to McDonald's for breakfast!" Stella laughed, "Let's call a Taxi!" Stella said grabbing her large phone which was decorated with a golden sparkly butterfly phonecase, and she dialed the number for a taxi service, when she got off the phone she told Jason that they'd be there in 10 minutes. Meanwhile at McDonald's, Shelly was feeling really guilty about Jason, she had to tell Jake,
"Jake babes, Jason kissed me and I stopped him but then I saw his sad face and kissed him to make him feel better, sorry!" Shelly blurted, she didn't know why she blurted it out so quickly, but she did,
"Shelly, it's okay!" Jake said seeing her distressed face, "Jason woke me up last night and told me, he told me everything, about the bathroom, about how you were muttering my name in your sleep!" Jake laughed it off,
"What,did I really?!" Shelly said embarrassed her cheeks went bright pink, he lifted her chin and kissed her,
"I think it's sweet!" Jake said smiling widely, then Stella and Jason arrived,
"Hey guys!" Stella said before sitting down next to Jake forcing Shelly to sit next to Jason, Shelly was uncomfortable and looked it, she slid right up next to the wall of the booth, Jake noticed this,
"Jason, do you mind if me or Stella sit next to Shelly?" Jake looked at Shelly who then looked at Jason hopefully, but Jason liked to play with people,
"No, we're fine aren't we Elle!" Jason nudged her,
"Yup we're fine!" Shelly's voice was shaking. They ordered food and Stella and Jake went up to get it,
"Elle, please talk to me!" Jason looked at her,
"No, Jason I can't do this!" Shelly avoided eye contact, her hand was on the table and Jason slowly went to grab it and Shelly let him, Jake was watching and listening,
"Is it me?" Jason asked Shelly,
"No I love Jake, end of conversation!" Shelly turned away, and moved her hand away from Jason's warm soft touch, secretly Jake was celebrating inside,
"I really love Stella I really do, but my feeling for you can't go away overnight, because they're strong!" Jason tried to meet Shelly's eyes but she couldn't,
"Stella loves you and you love Stella, what's the problem?" Shelly asked loosing her temper,
"The problem is you!" Jason really knew how to play with a girl's heart,
"I need to go to the bathroom!" Shelly said forcing him to move, Jake and Stella came back, Stella had told some sort of crappy joke which had made Jake and her laugh,
"What you laughing about?" Jason said on edge,
"I told a dad joke! Chill out Jason!" Stella said putting his food down infront of him, she then sat down next to him, Shelly came back and it was clear she had been crying which made Jason feel really really bad, he was the cause of her pain!
"Shelly, what's wrong babe?" Jake asked as she put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes,
"Nothing baby, don't worry!" Shelly opened her eyes,
"Okay, talk to me in a bit though!" Jake insisted, he swept the hair away from her face, breakfast was not enjoyable for Shelly or Jason.
