I was in my room biting my nail, as my thoughts drifted off into thinking about the whole incident between Kim, and trash can guy or should I say his dad. My thinking got interrupted when I heard a soft knock at my door. "C-come in." I called out. The door squeaked open, and there my mom stood. "Oh hey mom what's wrong?" She looked aggravated, but kind of worried. "This came for you." She said as she extended her hand to give me mail.

I grabbed the mail, and looked at the address, but it did not look familiar. "Who is this from?" I asked looking up to meet mom's eyes. She faked a smile, and said. "I'll be down stairs." And with that she left. Now she is scaring me. Who is this? How do they know me? Why is this person making her so worried? I opened the letter, and it read:

"Hi Seo Yeon, I know it has been a while since the last time we talked, but I thought since I'm already in town I should come see you too. Plus I think I owe you a big apology, and a huge explanation if you are willing to hear what I have to say. If you want, we can meet tomorrow around 4 o'clock, just call me at 555-435-0912. I really am wanting to hear from you. Love you forever- Mom"

I stared at the note with thousands of emotions running through my body. I haven't seen my mom for almost 8 years, what could she possibly want? Would mom be okay with that? But I get to see my mom! Should I tell my mom? Of course I have to tell her.

I make my way down stairs, and I see my mom sitting on the sofa. I take one deep breathe, and approach her. "Mom." I say as softly as I can. She sits up, and I go to sit beside her. "Are you okay? How do you feel?" She asked grabbing my hand. "I don't know. I'm.. excited, but nervous and worried." "Why? What did she say?" She asked with concern. A smile slowly crept across my face. "She wants to see me." My voice filled with caution.

She looked like she didn't know what to say, while wanting to say a lot. "Oh.. ok." Was the only thing she could say. "Well.. do you want to see her?" I looked down at my hands as I contemplated my answer. "I don't know. I feel like I should, but I also feel like God is trying to tell me something." I looked up to meet her eyes. "Well whatever you decide to do, you let me know." I nodded, and headed back up stairs to my room.

I sat on my bed, with the note still in hand. I opened the note, found the number and I began pressing in the digits. I stopped when all the numbers were in, and I contemplated if I should do this or not. I got this far, I guess there is no point in turning back now. I took one final breathe, and hit the call button. It ringed loudly in my ear, and each ring made me nervous than the last. After the 4th ring, I heard someone pick up the phone.

"Hello?" The voice on the other end was definitely a women, but she was whispering like she was hiding something. "U-uh.. h-hello?" I stuttered. "Who is this?" They whispered. "This is Seo Yeon." "Oh hi!" Her voice completely changed, from a whisper to excitement. "Sorry about that, I have people calling me, for no reason. How have you been?" "I have been good. How are you?" I asked happily. "I'm good. I'm good. Listen I know that I made a lot of mistakes in my past, and I didn't treat fairly, but I'm gonna make it up to you."

"How?" I asked very intrigued, almost too intrigued. "Well if you decide to meet me over coffee, we can talk about it then." "Of course we can talk about it." Without giving it a second thought I agreed.

Uhm... 😅
