~Nat's POV~
"So whens the talent show?" I asked Luke.We were at the library after school to study for a test."Um in a week" He replies.
"Why did you sign me up?I probably gonna embarrass myself in front of everyone" I muttered.
"Nat you won't.You'll be fine" He says.
"I don't even know what song I'm going to do"
"You'll figure it out" He says while looking at his phone.For some reason he wouldn't keep his eyes if it."Someones busy" I said."Huh?Oh I'm just waiting for news from someone" He replies.
"What's the news?" I asked curiously."Michael said he's trying to get is a gig at someplace.Im just waiting to see if he got it or not"
"Wait.You guys are playing an actual show?" I exclaimed."Maybe" I couldn't help but feel excited for them.I knew that one day there gonna be famous so this is a good first step for them."Are you excited?" I asked him."A bit.I just really hope he gets that gig" He replies looking up and smiling at me.
"Well I know this is important to you but unless you want to fail this test,I suggest you study" I said.He puts down his phone and then we start studying.
"This is hard" I mumbled."It's not that hard.You just have to carry this over here,multiple them together,then subtract it with this" He explains.I looked at him weirdly."What?" He asks.
"Nothing.I just never knew you were so good at math that you find your own way to solve the problem" I said."My moms a math teacher so she shows me how to do things differently then how our teacher explains it" He says.
"Well your way is definitely less confusing" I said.He chuckles at my comment.His phone then got a message.He immediately opens it and looks at it with wide eyes.
"What is it?" I asked.He hands me the phone and I read it.I can't help but to look at the message with wide eyes to andcan't believe what it says:
Michael:GUYS!!!I GOT THE GIG!!WE'RE ACTUALLY GONNA PLAY A SHOW IN FRONT OF PEOPLE!!!"
Calum:What?Your joking right?
Michael:NO IM NOT.I SERIOUSLY GOT IT!!!
Ashton:Nice work dude.Now we should practice tonight so we don't embarrass ourselves
Calum: For once I actually like Michael.Not in a gay way
Michael:Shut up Calum
I chuckled at the last messages and handed the phone back to Luke."H-he got it..." He says quietly."He actually got it!" He yells.
"Shhh!" The librarian says."Sorry" I whisper."Lets go to Michaels" I said.He nods.
We walked to Michael's house."Oh Ashton's here too" Luke says."How do you know?"
"His cars on his driveway" He says.I nod and continue ms to walk."I still can't believe it" He says quietly.
"I knew you guys would get famous one day" I said."How?"
"Well I know you guys aren't that serous about it,but you guys are a pretty good band.You guy can sing,play instruments,if you keep it up you'll be he biggest boy band in the world"
"Ugh I hate that word" He says.
"What?Boy band?" I asked."Yeah.The b word" He replies.I chuckled and said "Well your boys,and your in a band"
"But we're a band.Not some stupid boy band" He replies.
"Alright alright.You win" I said.He smiles causing me to smile too.We knock on Michael's door and he answers it.
"Um hey Mike we just came over to-" Luke was cut off when Michael hugged him and yelled "We're playing a show!"
"Yeah.I know and I'm super excited about it" Luke says.We go in and saw Ashton and Calum."Calum your here too?" I asked.
"Why?You don't want me to be here?"He says."No.No.What I meant was that I didn't know you were here so yeah" I replied.
"I know.Im just messing with you.Ash gave me a drive" He says."Well now that we're all here,we should practice" Ashton says."What songs are we gonna do?" Luke asked."Maybe the songs we wrote and a few covers" Michael suggested.They all nodded.
"I left my guitar at home" Luke said."Here you can use mine.I have two" Michael says handing Luke the guitar."Thanks"
They practiced a few of their songs and a few covers."I guess that's what we'll be singing in the night of the show" Calum said.
"When is the show?" I asked.
"In two days" Michael replied.
"Let's take a break" Ash suggested."Yea" They all said.They all put down their instruments."Do you think we'll do good in the show?" Luke asks me."Of course.You guys sound great" I said.He smiles and asks "Really?"
"Positive" I replied."I loved the cover of Teenage Dream that you did.I love that song" I said."You should sing that in the talent show" He says.I thought about it.Maybe I should.
"Yeah I think I'll sing that" I said."If you want we can be the instrumental part of it.And maybe be like background singers or something" He says.
"Yeah that'll be great" I replied."I'll go tell the guys" He says.Then I realized something...he makes me feel like I'm living a teenage dream.
