*Shake shake* You wake up with a start and just see your son trying to wake up you and Joanne, he is super excited because you guys are going on a vacation together. You can't help by smile, you've never seen him so excited. Even though you do try to keep yourself out of the public eye as much as possible when not filming, you know it's not fair to him, he is just a kid after all. Now that he is 4 you and Joanne had decided he was old enough to take to Disney World, since he would appreciate the characters and such much more. It had been a few years and many changes in all things Disney since you had filmed The Rise of Skywalker. You were happy Bob Chapek had reached out to you not too long after he had fired Kathleen Kennedy and replaced her with Jon Favreau. Jon and Bob wanted to bring back Adam Driver to play Kylo Ren/Ben Solo in a Disney+ exclusive show. Bob was trying to tempt you with an all expenses paid Disney World trip for you and your family, to try and have the show be a live action one and not just a cartoon.
As you sit up in bed you can help but smile down at Joanne, she looks so beautiful as her eyes flutter open. You lean down to kiss her as she wakes up. Then you and your son, Kyle lean down and kiss Joanne's growing belly. "Mommy, Daddy today we go away on the pyain!!", you son says as he makes you smile. "Yes son, we are going on an airplane, are you excited to find out where your going?". He looks up at you with his big eyes that are a mirror image of your own, as he thinks for a moment, "No Daddy, I just happy to be with you, Mommy & baby!" You can't help but kiss the top of his head, he is such a precious child. You never thought you could love anything as much as you had Joanne, and your dog Moose.

"Ok, Kyle why don't you start to get cleaned up and ready for us to head out", you smile as he nods his head like he's been given an important mission. Joanne smiles, and follows him to make sure he brushes his teeth right, and puts on clothes that match. With them out of the room, you can't help but cry a little, wishing everyday could be this happy. That there wasn't so many things happening at the same time. Your Mom died during the COVID-19 pandemic, Joanne finding out she has an inoperable tumor, knowing that giving birth will probably be what kills her. This is supposed to be a happy time, going on a family vacation, your wife pregnant but you can't help but think of all that you will face in the future. How are you supposed to get through life without Joanne who had been your backbone for the past decade. You've come to depend on her for everything. You still kept replaying the conversation you two had after you came to grips about the tumor. She wanted you to stay happy and keep living your life, keeping your son and unborn baby safe and happy. You still couldn't believe your ears when she gave you the task, how could she be so selfless in this time, she was truely an angel from above who was being called back home.
Taking a big deep breathe you pull yourself together, you need to keep strong for your family! As you ground yourself with your marine training. You pick yourself and get ready for the day, you try to think of the fun that lies ahead. Joanne gave you tomorrow to do the fun surprise you had worked out with Bob Chapek, hearing how other celebrities had done something similar. Throwing on your jeans, sneakers, and light sweater and head to the living room to make sure everything is ready. You make yourself some coffee while you wait for Joanne and Kyle, glad to you can have this time as a family. Happy your agent is understanding that you need some time with your family as this is all happening. As you sit down with your coffee, you breathe in the aroma as you have come to enjoy from your black coffee. You start to check your emails and make sure you didn't miss anything overnight, you get confirmation that the last interview you did was now out. You smile as you see Joanne and Kyle in their Disney outfits.
You make the call to your security detail to make sure there is no paparazzi outside as you get to your towncar that is will take you to the airport. Dwayne answers right away and asks if you need any help with the luggage as well, but you dismiss it as you are so used to packing as condensed as possible. You have Joanne and Kyle go ahead of you as you lock up and take the bags, putting on your baseball hat and as you are about to get to elevator you pull on your hoodie. Not that there is much mistaking you, damn height! Ushering your family forward, you always keep an eye on all that is around you, something that never went away from your training in the Marines. Reaching the ground you have them hurry up and get in the towncar, as Dwayne helps you put the car so that you can head out quickly as to not draw attention. As you you head off to JFK Airport, you take your phone out and shoot a text to Bob as he asked you to, letting him know you were on your way. Without incident you make your way through the airport and onto the plane into your seats. Your son seems happy as plays I spy with Joanne, as you just watch and take snapshots with your mind of all these moments so that they live on forever. Before you know it, you are at the airport and are on your way to the car that awaits to take you to the hotel. As you come to the Disney World sign your son's eyes grow big and look at you and Joanne, "We are going to Mickey's house?!?!?!?". Joanne smiles, pulling his chin up to look at her, "Yes, we are going to Disney World, you are going to meet Mickey and all of his friends!". Kyle can barely contain his excitement and stay seated. You can only laugh that this can bring the whole family joy. Pulling up, to the hotel you see you are staying at the Polynesian resort, you have heard it has a nice relaxed atmosphere which is something you really waned and happy Bob came through with. You are greeted by Bob himself as he walks you to your room. "It's a pleasure to meet you finally in person Bob, thank you for all you are doing for my family and I. I do have to say I'm surprised to see you here though, you didn't have to come all the way down. Please understand I can't and won't give you an answer yet on the show." Smiling at you and patting you on the back, "Adam, I would never ask for you to make a decision like this on a whim, however I did want to assure you that you are part of this family. I am trying to make sure to fight for the family that had not been fought for in the last few years. My interest is in what is best for you and your family. I know you have been a very busy man, and wanted you to stay here at one of the bungalows. It has it's own small hot tub on the back deck, and plenty of room for you all to be together. When you are all ready to go to the parks, just call down to concierge and we will make sure you are safe and enjoy so distance as I know you like your privacy." You nod your head and thank Bob, as you walk into your bungalow.
You all settle into the bungalow, order some room service wanting to just spend the day relaxing, you change into your swim trunks and dip into hot tub while Kyle takes a nap, and Joanne lays on the lounger enjoying the late afternoon sun. As you, rest yourself on the ledge of the hot tub, and just take in how Joanne is glowing while she is pregnant. Wishing there was more you could do to keep things just how they are now. As if sensing what you were doing, she looks over at you and calls you over with her finger. Kneeling down next to her, grabbing her hand and kissing your way from the fingers up. She smiles brightly as a soft moan leaves her mouth, "You know how I hate you mopping about what we can't control, we have to live everyday to the fullest. I love how you want to fight if you could, but we have been through this. This is not something you can fist fight, but I will always be in your heart, your mind, and when I die I'll always look out for you, Kyle, and our precious baby". She leans down and kisses you, making you melt as she always has been able to. As you pull away you rest your forehead against hers and just rest your intertwined fingers on her belly.
You had a nice quiet night in the bungalow as you all went to bed at a decent time. Reminding Joanne she was welcome to call concierge if she did want to go to the parks tomorrow, that you were doing the one day of work tomorrow and you weren't sure when you would be back. As you kissed her goodnight wrapping her tightly against your body wanting to keep her in your arms.
