Chapter 16

**Morgan's POV**

You try not to show how anxious you are while waiting for your parents to say something, seeing your mom crying.   Grateful for how Adam, Joanne and Kyle have come to be like human shields.  Reaching back with one hand you put yours on top of Adam & Joanne's to show thank you to them.  Which is when you hear your Dad clear his throat, "Well this is a lot to process, but Morgan you haven't been this happy in years.  Yes you are right we have always tried to do what the safe bet is.  Now is the time for you to shine, and it's clear that even though it's only been a little bit of time that we have become like family.  Just know we will always be here for you, and if you ever get hurt we will always look out for your best interest."  You start to cry happy tears, and your mom surprises you and comes over and gives you all a hug.  "That was a dirty trick bringing up my Mom but you are right, she is the one that said to always look for signs, and that she would always try to give them.   You always did share that special bond with her.  So how about you give us that tour you mentioned earlier. "  She smiles warmly as you smile up at her, grateful that they took this all better than you had expected, taking a deep breathe as you put Kyle on the ground and he instantly takes your mom's hand.  Joanne helps Kyle as your Dad follows along hearing Kyle talk about the big window room you laugh softly which is when you notice Adam is still standing behind you smiling down at you.  Speaking softly, "Adam I can't believe this worked, I will be forever grateful to you guys for standing up for me like that.  I could kiss you right now, but with my parents in the next room over I have to refrain."  You stand up and give him a big hug and bury your head in his chest as he hold you to him, running his hand up and down your back.  

**Adam's POV**

When Joseph finally starts to talk you let out the breathe you had been holding and feel Joanne squeeze your hand softly.  Feeling completely like a family as you stand there as one united front.  Grateful that her parents have said yes.  Hugging HelenRose back as he hugs you all you feel like you can finally smile.  As Morgan puts Kyle down on the ground he instantly takes HelenRose by the hand and leads her to the living room, Joanne & Joseph go with them.  Alone with Morgan for the first time you feel content and want her to know she is safe here.   Morgan looks up at you as she says she can't believe it worked.  She stands up and gives you a big hug, and you hug her back just as tight running you hand up and down her back.  Kissing the top of her head as she feels so good in your arms knowing she is right that you can't kiss right now as much as you would both enjoy that.  She pulls away from you slightly, looking up at you, "Well I guess we should probably clean up dinner while they tour the place." You kiss her forehead, "Aye, Aye Captain" you say which makes her giggle.  Working together you bring the dishes into the kitchen, grabbing container to put the left overs in, you make quick work of what is left to put away.   Then as she is putting the containers in the fridge you start to load up the dishwasher, once all the dishes are in the dishwasher you dry off your hands.  Looking around you don't see Morgan, walking out of the kitchen you look into the the dining room first and you see Morgan putting all of the deserts her family had brought onto the table. You walk back into the kitchen, grabbing the desert plates, forks, knives, and serving utensils you should need.  When you come back in with everything you see Morgan smiling at you, "Morgan I wanted to get your opinion on something." You start to walk as she follows behind you.

**Morgan's POV**

Feeling yourself run out of tears and just feel the comfort of Adam, thinking more logically now that things are more calm you lean back and say, "Well I guess we should probably clean up dinner while they tour the place."  He kisses your forehead which puts a huge smile on your face as you let go of one another.  With the two of you working together you make quick work of the food, putting everything away as Adam loads the dishwasher.  As he starts that you take out all of the different pies and cookies bringing them into the dining room.  Just as you finish putting the last plate on the table you see Adam with all the things you need for desert, you can help but smile as you quickly put everything in place on the table.  He asks for your opinion on something as he starts to walk away, you follow him.  Noticing that as you walk you hear your Mom's laugh downstairs.  You see he goes into the office wondering what he might want your opinion on.  "So I've debating on if I want to go ahead with this one project.  It would be Ben Solo/Kylo Ren, I know there has been rumors floating around about it for a while now.  Now that Jon Favreau has taken control of LucasFilms I feel more comfortable saying yes but I'm still not sure.  Here is paper they sent over to give me an idea of the project."  You take the paper, trying not to geek out too much, going through the bullet points as you are sure there is things that aren't on this paper as well.  But it does seem interesting that they want to kind of do what the Clone Wars cartoon did but live action, there is hints that depending on how many seasons they might go to what happened to Ben Solo after he disappears at the end of The Rise of Skywalker.  "So of course they aren't going to give you all the details in case you decide not to do the project.  I do like that it is similar in concept to the Clone Wars but doing it as live action instead.  The question would be are they going to allow you any sort of creative freedom/say to your character?  I know in the past you've said you are highly protective of Kylo/Ben.  Plus without Kathleen Kennedy around you are less likely to be painted in a bad light, if anything it helps with the Bendemption people kept talking about.  They seem to really want to hold off on doing this project unless you say yes to it, do you know if they are getting the rest of the gang on board?"  You ask as you notice him sitting on the couch nervously looking at you.  Sitting next to him you hand him pack the piece of paper.
