Chapter 11

**Adam's POV**

You sat quietly as Joanne nodded her head, "Well Morgan that is overall what we wanted to talk to you about."  She takes a deep breathe, "Ok, so we haven't been completely honest, we didn't expect that this would all happen so quickly.  So I have to say first I couldn't be happier that you figured out it was Adam and that it caused him to want to talk to you.  From what I have come to see of you, your character, and your family you are exactly what I have wanted Adam to find.  As you know I'm pregnant with our second child, however we found out that I have a tumor.  Where the tumor is they are unable to operate because of the pregnancy.  They explained to us that by continuing with the pregnancy I will die, but I was likely do die even if we had decided to terminate the pregnancy.  So with the death sentence we were handed, I decided that I wanted Adam to find someone who he might be able to be with after I'm gone.  I wanted to have my own say in who would raise my children, and watching how Kyle is so drawn to you makes my heart swell."  She takes a pause and takes Morgan's other hand to squeeze before she continues. "Morgan you are so special, and before you say anything I wanted to let you know the story of when Adam and I first started dating.  As you know we met at Julliard, and there was only 18 of us in group 38 and there was a mix of girls, guys, people who weren't sure of themselves as you might expect.  However when they had us introduce ourselves I found it kind of hot how intense Adam was plus he was the only other person over 21 in the group.  So after the first week of classes, Adam asked me out and we've been together since.  I wanted to let you know that because you don't hear these things often but it does happen, we are proof of it.  If you still are ok with this while I'm still alive I want to have you learn all the things that go into running the non-profit.    I believe you are the perfect person for this wacky situation we find ourselves in."   

Figuring this is as good of a time as any to chime in, "I will be the first one to admit when Joanne told me she wanted me to do this I didn't think I could do it.  However when you noticed me coming in as Kylo Ren, and being the only person who even attempted to interact with me, everyone else was just scared or laughing the whole time.  Not only that but the fact that you respected my family and our privacy to ask if you could even tell your parents just astounded both of us.  I would be a lying if I didn't also say that I find you extremely attractive.  You are not only beautiful, you are smart, selfless, and seeing you with Kyle leaves me breathless at times."  You take that time to run your hand though your hair as you look into her eyes trying to see if you can read her.  Hoping that she doesn't get too freaked out and having a hard time remembering how to flirt with how long it's been. 

**Morgan's POV**

As you sit waiting for someone to say something it is Joanne that starts to talk first, seeing her take a deep breathe you start to get nervous and suddenly glad you feel Adam's hand on yours.  It couldn't be going too bad if he was making sure to keep his hand there.  Listening intently and feel your breathe leave you as she says she has an inoperable tumor, how could this be in this day and age?  She looks so full of life, and she is carrying another baby who from what it sounds will never know their mom. She takes your hand and squeezes it as if offering you comfort when you should be comforting her. 

Wait you can't be hearing her correctly, she is saying she wants you to date Adam?  Like giving you permission to date him?  This can't be really happening?   I mean we've all done some crazy things in life but could this be legit?  Feeling your anxiety start to creep up then Adam starts to talk, you can't think, you can't feel you are totally numb as you feel out of your body.  You hear everything that is said hardly able to process it.  These kinds of things don't happen to you, you live in the friend zone not in the forefront. Hearing him say that he finds you attractive you can't believe your ears, the weird feeling all this time changed to a peace in your whole body.   You start to really process it all, and it all makes so much more sense as to why they both had been watching you when certain things happened.  That look in Adam's eyes the other night, it was him wanting to kiss you, you weren't imagining it.  Even in your wildest dreams you could never imagine something like this happening.    The celebrity that you had always thought was hot not just for his looks but for who he was and all he did, for being the anti Hollywood guy.  How would something like this even work?  Thinking well actually the assistant thing title wouldn't be so bad to make it so that other people didn't see what was happening when it was just them, then when and if it was right he could decide how things would go.  As you start to refocus yourself on the here and now, instead of zoning out you see Adam staring at you intently with his lips parted softly.  Looking to you as if saying, please don't run away, which just solidifies your answer.
