mike's pov

When I woke up, I was the only one in the bed even though I remembered y/n falling asleep next to me. I look around the room for her, only to see nothing. "Mom! Mom! Mom!" I yell, running down the stairs and into the kitchen. "Michael, it is early in the morning. Lower your voice," Mom scolded. I look around the room, biting the inside of my cheek. "Um... Ha--Have you seen y/n?" I ask. "No. Why? Is she not in the room?" Mom asks. "Um--no, I--" I stutter. "Maybe she went back home to get something," Mom suggests. "Maybe. She would've told me, though," I reply anxiously. "Don't worry, sweetie. I'm sure she's okay," mom reassured me.

When I got to school, I ran to Will. "Will! Will!" I shout, running over to him. "Hey, Mike," he waves. "Y/n's missing," I blurt. "What?" He asks. "She's missing, Will. I can't find her," I repeat. "When was the last time you saw her?" He asked. "Last night, after you left, we watched a couple of movies before going up to my room. We both fell asleep together, I heard the door open, but I thought she was going to the bathroom. Now she's gone," I stammer. "Did she seem off to you?" Will questioned. "I mean, she kept looking around like she was seeing or hearing something. And she dazed out a couple of times, but I thought it was just the movies we were watching getting to her head," I reply. "Should we tell the others?" He asked, and I nod.

"Lucas," I whisper, kicking his chair. He turns around, "What?" he mumbled. "It's y/n," I exclaim. "What about her?" he asked. "I'll tell you at lunch," I reply. He nods, turning back around. Dustin burst through the door, apologizing for being late. "We have to meet. All of us. At lunch, AV club," Dustin whispered. "Why?" I ask. "I have something that you won't believe," Dustin whispers. I nod. Could this be related to y/n's absence?

In the AV room, Dustin had his box from Halloween. "Who's gonna speak first?" Lucas asked Dustin and I. "Wait, what's wrong with Mike?" Dustin asked. "Y/n's missing," Lucas blurt. "Whoa. Whoa. Since when?" Dustin asked. "Last night. I'm really nervous, guys," I admit. "Okay, Dustin, what about you?" Lucas asked. "His name is D'Artagnan. Cute, right?" Dustin smiled. "D'Artagnan?" I question. "Dart for short," Dustin added. "And he was in your trash?" Max asked. "Foraging for food. You wanna hold him?" Dustin replied, passing the lizard to Max. "Oh, God. He's slimy," Max groaned. "Ugh, he's like a living booger," Lucas gagged, passing it to Will. "Ugh, oh, God," Will exclaimed, handing the thing to me. "What is he?" I ask. "My question exactly," Dustin smiled.

I ran around, looking for Steve. Eventually, I found him. "Steve! Steve! Steve!" I shout after him. He turns around. "What?" he groans. "Um... did--did y/n go over last night?" I ask. "What, to our house?" he questions. "Yeah," I reply. "No, why? Do you not know where she is?" he asks. "Well... no," I admit. "Holy shit. So she's missing?" He asks, starting to freak out. "As of right now, yes. But--" I begin. "No. No, but's. My sister is missing. And last time I checked, she was with you. You need to look for her. Now!" He demands. "Okay, okay," I croaked, running over to the bike rack and biking home.
