Miranda came to my room without even knocking. "Who's that guy?" She whispered. "He's h o t." She added, whispering the "hot" part even more.
"Shut up." I pushed her away from my room closed the door. I turned the shower on and changed the temperature to a hot one as I stripped my clothes and took a warm bath.
I picked a blue coat to go with my gray sweater that says "I literally do not care at all." And skinny jeans to go with my Brown Ugg boots. My outfit was perfect for the weather.
I came down to see Adam still talking to my father. But Adam stopped talking when he saw me. His jaw opened a little wide, I'm still not sure why.
"Close it." I said, motioning to his chin.
"Huh?" He said, pretending he didn't know what I was talking about.
I laughed, rolled my eyes and put my shades on. "Let's go?" I asked.
He also smiled, but he tried to hide it from me. "Indeed." He replied after a while.
"Soooo, bye mom, and dad!" I gave them both flying kisses.
Adam waved to my parents as he followed and we went to his car.
I knew, that we would be quiet the whole car ride. I mean, I don't even know where this guy is taking me, but my heart really said something that he would take care of me. I decided to break the silence and talk to him. "Sooo.." I said slowly. "What did my dad tell you?"
"Oh, nothing much," He said. "Really." Adam chuckled.
"He isn't really tight on you.." He added with a smirk.
"That's because he knows I'll be with you." "You guys only met, but he has already trusted you!" "It's a little weird, really." I replied and asked again, "What did you guys talk about?"
"Where we met, who I am, what are we, where I live, things like that." "It went from two strangers talking to each other to best buds talking to each other." He giggled.
"You keep on laughing. What the hell is funny?!" I exclaimed.
"Your dad told me you are afraid of spiders." He tried concealing the laugh that was about to escape. "Because you swallowed one at the park when you were little." He finally bursted out, forming tears in his eyes.
"OH yeah. That's funny. Hella funny!" I replied sarcastically.
He cleared his throat at the precise moment I said "That's funny." "Sorry." He followed and wiped the tears from his eyes.
"But, what... did you say when he asked when what were we?" I emphasized the 'we'.
Adam's POV
"What... did you say when he asked when what were we?" She said, dropping the word 'we' with emphasis.
"Friends... best friends." I grinned and looked at the stop light. I still can't get over the fact that Brielle's dad, despite of being tight, actually likes me. I knew it by the time he started talking about Brielle when she was younger. She was a premature born child, so her parents really took extensive care for her. And it all makes sense.
She swallowed hard. "Okay."
"Sooooo." I tapped on the steering wheel. "Do you know where we're going?" Grinning, I switched my eye from the road that was once warm and sunny is now covered with a white blanket.
"Nah. No idea." She said, not even looking away from her iPhone.
"Who are you texting?" I grabbed her phone and saw the words "Brandon" with two hearts on it.
