"Come with me", Daniel said, gently guiding Sasha away from the fire as they headed deeper into the garden.
The fairy lights did not run this far back and as the couple stumbled further from the house they were consumed by a heavy darkness. As the crowds of people melted into the distance the noise of the party also died down replaced with an awkward silence.Sasha attempted to make out her blurry feet below and prayed her clumsy nature wouldn't cause her to slip over again.
After eyeing her up from across the fire, Daniel had finally decided to approach Sasha and attempted to begin a drunken conversation. Once the niceties were out of the way he'd then proceeded to pull her from the crowd and informed Polly that they were going on a 'little adventure'.
Sasha could still see the suggestive wink that Polly had sent her but due to her drunken state it didn't seem to annoy her as much as it usually would. The alcohol was taking full effect making her feel invincible, like wonder woman. Nothing could harsh her buzz.
"Where are we going?", Sasha asked, swaying behind Daniel.
He didn't respond, instead wrapping his fingers tighter around her wrist and pulling her along with more force.Feeling giddy she started to giggle and tugged at his sleeve with her free hand.
"Daniel", she insisted, "Where are you taking me?"Suddenly he stopped and sat down, yanking Sasha's arm to make her do the same.
Her head was reeling from the booze and she was glad they were no longer walking. Crossing her legs she lent back to look at the stars and try and gain some composure.
"Hey do you know what's a really funny word?", she observed before erupting into fits of laughter, "Nonsensical! I mean what the fuck. Who came up with that?"
Ok, who was she kidding? Scrap gaining any composure or dignity- she had left those back at the party in the bottom of a red solo cup.
Daniel shuffeled beside her and suddenly she felt his warm hand on her face. The darkness closed in around them removing all detail so their features became lost in the shadows.Even though Sasha couldn't see him she knew he was smiling.
"You're cute", he said gently, "and hot".
She looked back at him trying to find his eyes. Daniel was far from unattractive with blonde hair, a sculpted jaw and slight stubble but in the pitch black she couldn't make out any of this.
The only thing that marked his close proximity was his hand cupping her cheek and the smell of his cologne. It was musky and pleasent.
"Thanks", she murmered. The alcohol was loosening her tongue and swirling about her head and she could feel his eyes boring into her.
Uncertain of where this was going or where she wanted it to go she glanced nervously down at her lap and then back up at him through her lashes. His mouth looked inviting but she was still unsure as to whether she wanted him to kiss her or just wanted a kiss.
Placing a hand on Sasha's hip, Daniel turned her body towards him and her eyes involuntary closed at his touch. Suddenly impatient, he tilted her chin to the side and leaned closer before pressing his lips against hers. Their mouths instantly moulded into one another as he sucked the breath out of her.Sasha had kissed boys before on rare occasions at parties like this. It usually tended to be when she was drunk and she would always squeal and cringe with her friends about it the next day. So what was she doing making out and rolling about in the undergrowth with some guy? And why the fuck did it have to be with Daniel when she had been telling everybody that this was never going to happen!
Pushing the thoughts from her mind Sasha turned her focus back on kiss. Right now she wasn't going to think about that. She was a girl and he was boy and that was enough.
