"Sounds like a bit of an asshole to me", Cass remarked folding her arms over her chest.
Cass was the friend who rarely beat around the bush and would happily call someone out if she thought they were deserving. She was also the truth giver of the group and was never afraid to tell someone if their outfit wasn't working or their makeup looked bad.Shooting Sasha a comforting smile she quickly added a sympathetic, "Sucks for you though".
Sasha was sat on Polly's bedroom floor with her legs spread out in front of her watching her toes wiggle. After she'd been abandoned in the middle of the road by Julien she'd walked to her friends house instead of returning home, not prepared to face her mothers wrath. Plus she didn't want to see Julien any time soon.
As far as she was concernced he was an insensitive jerk who she wanted nothing to do with, even if he was beyond gorgeous!"I would hate having to share my house with a stranger all the time", Polly offered while sweeping an eyeliner brush over her closed lid.
Sasha sighed, "I usually don't mind it that much though," she said thoughtfully "But Julien's just so rude!"
Cass giggled, "Ohhh Julien. Cute name! Is he hot? French boys can be so charming", she commented before turning her gaze to stare dreamily up at the ceiling.
Sasha crossed her arms and shot her friend a disappointed look, "Have you not listened to anything I just said? The boy's an insensitive jerk who thinks he's better than everyone else!"
Polly raised her eyebrows at the sudden explosive reaction and Cass drummed her fingers on her thigh waiting for Sasha to finish, "I was just asking Sash. No need to get your panties in a twist!"
Sasha instantly buttoned her lip focusing her attention back onto the floor. She really wasn't doing a very good job at holding her temper.
'God, I'm becoming my father!', she winced.
Studying Sasha intently Polly pinched her lips together, "This guy really seems to have gotten under your skin. You barely know him and he's managed to piss you off this much!".
Sasha wrinkled her nose knowing that her friend was right even if she didn't like hearing it being spoken out loud.
"That's true", Cass piped in, "he can only annoy you if you let him. Just don't let him have this much effect on your life. Simple".
'Because I'm certainly having no effect on his', Sasha thought glumly before raising her head to offer Cass a smile.
"You're right", she sighed defeatedly, "You're both always so right".
Polly laughed batting her eyelashes, "Of course we are, sister. We are the queens of advice!".
Cass chucked a pillow from the bed at Sasha's head receiving a playful grin in return, "And don't you forget it".
Sasha's grin widened and she regarded her friends with glistening eyes, grateful for their counsel.
"Now come over here", Polly said, gesturing to the chair in front of her. She held a mascara brush in one hand and an eye shadow palette in the other, "Let me do your make-up before we go out".
-----
Sasha drunkenly attempted to ram the key in the lock of her front door for the third time. It went half way in and then stopped, jamming before she could turn it any further. She pulled it back out before trying again. No luck.
The door was blurry in front of her as she tried to focus her eyes on the small circular metal lock that was spinning about in her vision. It didn't help that it was pitch black outside and her phone was dead.
