She's been pacing back and forth, waiting for her husband to arrive. She hates this feeling. Mag iisang oras na siyang naghihintay kay RJ and she got a bad feeling about it. Bigla niyang naisip ang mga anak niya at lalong bumundol sa kanya ang kakaibang kaba.
She ran into the stairs at pumasok sa kwarto nila and get her phone.
She dials Athena's number. Huminahon siya, dahil ayaw niyang mahalata ng anak niya kung anumang kaba meron siya ngayon.
"Hello, love?"
"Yes, Mommy."
"Where are you?" She calmly asked.
"Nasa office pa My, Ka-ka wrapped up lang nong last meeting ko." She heard her daughter's excitement.
"Okay...umuwi ka na after niyan ha. Tawagan mo kaya si Siegfried para convoy kayong umuwi..."
"Hmmm. Nasaan ba si Siege? Office pa?"
"I think so, love. Umuwi na kayo, okay? Your Dad will soon be here any minute."
"Yes, Mommy. Can't wait to tell you the good news."
"Oh, so, you better be home so we can hear that."
"Yes, Mom. Do you want me to buy you anything, Mommy?"
"Nope, love, just come home, please..."
"Sure—"
"—And please do take care, love..."
"Of course, Mom. I love you..."
"I love you, Athena."
She's mentally calming herself. Next, she need to call her son but naka busy line ito, baka tinawagan ni Athena. She dials again, still naka busy line pa rin. She decided to text her son instead.
To: My Siege
"Love, nasaan ka na? Umuwi ka na, and take care Siegfried. I love you, anak."
Naulinigan niyang may sasakyang dumating. She put her cellphone down and peep at the window and saw RJ's car maneuvering to their parking area. Bumilis ulit ang tibok ng puso niya and ran downstairs para salubongin ang asawa niya sa labas ng pintoan.
She's already there waiting when RJ came out from the car and he saw her.
She's fidgeting her hands and she knows by the look from her husband, alam niyang nakita nito sa mukha niya ang labis na pag-alala.
"Hey..." Her husband said and enveloped her in his arms and kissed her head multiple times.
"Kanina ka pa naghihintay dito?"
"Galing akong itaas, tinawagan ko mga anak mo when I saw you arrived." She said while looking at her husband's face. She kissed his dimple and smile.
RJ took her again in a tight embrace and later on kissed her lip.
He massage her forehead.
"Yang kunot ng noo mo, love. Calm down. Nasaan na ba mga anak mo?"
"On their way home na, nakausap ko si Athena, Si Siegfried busy ang line but I texted him..."
She nuzzled at her husband's neck. What a difference RJ's presence could be. Kanina, di siya mapakali but now that he's here with her, the chaos in her seem calm its as if it knows she's safe in her husband's presence. As always.
"Shall we go inside? Anong ulam? Gutom na ako."
"Pinagluto ko ng Adobo si Yaya saka ChopSuey...kain nalang tayo, baka maya maya pa darating ang mga anak mo."
