Crossing his arms, he looked over at me. He didn't look like he was going to believe me, but I couldn't change it anymore.
"It would seem Nakiirn has decided to have you remain. Accommodations can be arranged," Natirien said.
"Thank you, My lord." I said with another bow, clearly still somewhat nervous. "I really appreciate the offer." I felt like running out of the room, but forced myself to stay. I could feel the heel of my right foot twitch a little as I stayed bowed down.
With a sigh, Nakiirn turned to me and gestured to the hall beside us. "I'll show you where you will be staying. There is also a library where you can learn about where you are." That said, he turned and gave his father a short bow.
Natirien simply nodded. Nakiirn turned and motioned for me to follow him. He led me to a door to the right of the hall. Once we were in the hall, He looked over his shoulder to me. "While you are here you should know a few things. My kin are not exactly all on the same side. There is tension that could grow to a full scale war. But, you will be safe here within these walls."
I nodded with a small smile on my lips, "Thank you, My lord. I will stay alert." I said bowing slightly yet again, sounding less nervous, though the twitch in my heel was still visible.
"Is there a chance I could also maybe get a change of clothes? These feel all worn out." I asked him, looking down at myself and lightly tugging on my worn out shirt. Wait! What am I doing? My face turned to sock, as I realised that what I had just said wouldn't be something a servant would say. I turned my face away from Nakiirn, "Never mind." I muttered. Idiot!
"Eoin..." Nakiirn sighed softly. He frowned as he looked over at me. "There will be clothes for you. I can have someone attend to you as well as I'm certain they are different from what you're used to." He offered with a small smile. The hall we walked down was long and sparsely decorated. Tapestries of past battles, and family lines were scattered around along with dragon statues.
As we came to a juncture, Nakiirn turned right, taking us deeper into the palace. "I have also noticed that you sustained some injuries, minor as they seem to be. Your hands are scraped and cut. Do you perhaps have any other injuries that I must tend to?" He asked.
I slowed down to a stop. I couldn't really feel anything but I should at least check. I reached up and as I had looked up at him, felt something small on my throat. He stopped in turn and looked over his shoulder at me.
"Umm... I have a cut on my throat, it's only small, but I can feel it. Must have been from the sword. But if you didn't notice, there can't be that much blood." I told him with a sigh, feeling along the cut, "Hey, how many rooms does this palace have?"
Nakiirn fully turned around and came over to me. He took my jaw in his hand gently and lifted my head. He looked me over again, far closer than before. A frown pulled at his lips as he eyed the small cut. It still stung and itched, but it was more of an irritation than anything.
"Forgive my negligence. It will be tended to. Along with your hands. Anything else? Your clothes are a bit... disheveled." He offered and plucked at the shirt I wore, examining the tears through the material. It was dirty and more than just wrinkled too. The way he looked it over made it seem like he'd never seen such clothing before.
Realising how close he really was, I tried to look away but couldn't because of the grip Nakiirn had on my jaw. I tried again to move before I stopped myself, looking up into his eyes tensely. Instead, I glanced past him to avoid making eye contact. I pulled away then and out of his grip completely.
He paused, eyeing me for a moment before he let out a soft, inward sigh. Turning to face the hall again, he gestured forward. "Shall we? Your room first, I will assist you in changing, then to the pools where I can heal you."
