Joy spread through me as I watched Dakoya, but also worry as he was about to go up against the dragon who had tried to kill him before. Dakoya moved with Zatyng, watching him carefully. I shifted so I was upright against the wall, eyeing the two of them with bated breath. I could only hope that Dakoya would win against Zatyng. But he's injured, I thought as I looked at the spot where Dakoya had been run through. How had he survived that?

Zatyng giving a snarl as he struck out at Dakoya. Dakoya swept aside the dragon's sword, avoiding the attack nimbly. He retaliated with his own attack, the blade moving quickly as he came in under Zatyng's initial strike. Dakoya's weapon drew blood as it opened up the other's armor and dug into Zatyng's chest. Hissing, Zatyng stumbled away from Dakoya.

Dakoya took advantage of that, rushing forward with his blade leveled at Zatyng's chest. Dakoya let out a shout, his voice sharp as he made to shove his blade straight through Zatyng's chest. Zatyng backed away further, getting his blade up in the way just as Dakoya came in close. Steel ground and Dakoya's weapon was shoved up and away from Zatyng's chest. I sucked in a sharp breath as Dakoya stumbled from his forward momentum and Zatyng slammed his knee into Dakoya's chest.

Dakoya let out a sharp cry of pain and dropped to the ground. He coughed, blood splattering the floor. Taisei took his place, lunging for Zatyng and taking him off guard. Taisei slammed into Zatyng, both of them crashing into the wall. Taisei struggled with Zatyng, pushing the dragon's weapon up as far as he could reach.

Dakoya moved slowly, one hand holding his deep wound in his side, the other gripping his sword. Dakoya got to his feet and with a slight stumble, raised his weapon yet again. I winced as Dakoya rushed forward, his blade held almost precariously. I looked away as he thrust his sword forward. For a moment, I thought he'd miss and hit Taisei. The gasping choke however, made me look. Zatyng looked to be in pain. It was only after blood began to spill from his mouth that I knew Dakoya had hit his mark.

Taisei pulled away from where he'd been pinning Zatyng against the wall. Dakoya yanked his blade free, but instead of stepping back as Taisei had done, he pulled his weapon back over his opposite shoulder and slashed out again. Zatyng reached up for his throat, clawing at his neck as blood gushed. He dropped to the floor soon after, creating a puddle of crimson beneath him.

Dakoya finally stepped back, barely holding himself upright. He looked over to Taisei who watched him as well. Both dragon's gave a nod to each other. Taisei moved to where Nakiirn was still chained and began working to undo his bindings. Dakoya slowly moved over to me. He dropped to his knees and reached up for the chains holding me as well. At his proximity I could hear the wheezing of his breath. The smell of blood was thick on him too and I could tell that he was still bleeding horribly.

I looked at him in shock as I waited for him to undo the chains. "Hurry! I need to get to Nakiirn!" I told him, my voice anxious as I tried to look past him. The whole time I'd been sitting there had been torture. In between watching Dakoya fight Zatyng, I'd also made sure to keep an eye on Nakiirn, who looked even worse than before. That was probably because of how much power he had used for me. I felt a bit bad about that, but didn't care, as I had to get over to him as quick as I could.

"Quicker!" I called, my voice filling the air.

Dakoya groaned as his fingers slick with blood shook while he fought with the chains. Then he gave a growl, sat up further and put both hands over the chains. The draconic that flooded the room was weak, and it trembled from Dakoya's lips. Even so, the chains shattered and with it, Dakoya simply collapsed with a soft sigh leaving his lips.

I caught him as he fell. And hugging him as tight as I could, I leaned forward to see if he was still breathing. "Taisei! Come help me with him!" I called, as I looked around the room to see where he was.
