For the past two weeks, Yue and Dylan have literally become one person. If they are not at the art gallery, they are holed up in his hotel room making love. They cannot get enough of each other's presence, and both of them are so gratful for this second chance.
A few days before Dylan's opening night, Xi Ze and Jia force them to join them for dinner at Xi Ze's apartment.
'I can't believe you two have been in Shanghai for 1 and a half weeks, and this is the first time that we are hanging out all together.' Whines Jia.
'You should be ashamed of yourselves. We have really missed you guys.' Pouts Xi Ze.
Yue and Dylan look at them, guilt written all over their faces.
'We are so sorry. We were apart for a year, so we are just catching up with each other.' Says Yue.
'Hmm... make sure you don't get a UTI from too much sexy time Yue.' Adds Jia, causing Yue to blush.
'Hey my baby and I are inseparable... and there's no such thing as too much sexy time!'
Dylan reaches for Yue's hand and kisses her on the cheek. she smiles lovingly at him.
'Alright we get it, we get it.' Laughs Xi Ze. 'So what's the plan for you guys after the exhibition?'
Yue looks at Dylan, and then answers.
'I'm moving to Beijing. I will be working out of our Beijing office. Dylan has been offered an artist's studio, by one of his mentors from the programme, where he will work on a number of projects that he has already been commissioned for. They have strong feeling that his Exhibition will be a runaway success.'
Yue smiles and gazes at Dylan so proudly. He blushes looking down, touched to see the pride in Yue's eyes.
'That is so amazing Dylan.' Beams Jia. 'Wow you are going to be so famous aren't ya? Well you had better give me your autograph right now.' She puts her hand on her chin, looking super serious. 'Tell me, who has the licensing for your merchandise? I bet I could make a packet off your face.'
Everybody laughs at this.
'I knew you could do it buddy. I'm so proud of you.' Adds Xi Ze.
'Thank you for believing in me Xi Ze. Your initial investment made this all possible for me.'
'I know a good investment when I see one buddy.'
They hug each other affectionately.
'So when are you going to tell your parents Yue?' Jia asks, soberly.
'I've invited my father to the Exhibition. I haven't told him anything yet. I want him to be there for Dylan's big night. Then I will tell him the real reason why I requested a Beijing transfer. I've decided not to say anything to my mother just yet. If my father wants to tell her, when we have left for Beijing, that's fine. I will not give her the opportunity to come between us again, and I also am not looking for her approval.'
