Scarlet Speedsters

Part 12

It's been like ten minutes, I've been sitting here for ten minutes but it feels like ten hours.
I leaned forward with my elbows on my thighs.
Then, Hope!
Barry sat up and gasped for air as if he was under water.
I stood up right away and hugged him.
"I was so worried about you!" I said and pulled away
Everyone ran towards us when they heard Barry.
"Why would you do that Barry?" I thought to myself.
He's too good of a friend.
Caitlin ran some tests, he had a broke arm, that's not that bad... right?

His cells aren't regenerating fast, I'm no scientist but doesn't that mean he lost his speed?

"Blackout must have taken your speed."
Cisco said
Everyone looked at him
"Yeah that's right he's now blackout." He said lighting up the mood.
I smiled a little.
"Well how would he have taken his speed? What if it's still there but he just lost his connection to it or something? Does that even make sense?" I said
"Y/n you're a genius!" Cisco said
"That's the first time I've ever heard my name and genius in the same sentence." I laughed making Barry smile.
"So he just has to try getting his connection back with it?" I asked
"Sort of..." they started to explain.

Soon after they explained it an alert came on.
I looked at the cameras with Cisco.
"It's blackout. He's here." I said
Then the power kept flashing back on and off. When it was in it was very dim.
They said something about him having to harness his speed.
So if he can do that maybe we can stop him.
Dr. Wells was somewhere else, we know for sure he wasn't in the cortex.
I looked at Barry then at Cisco.
"Maybe I can try stopping him? I've been training a lot." I said very unsure of myself.
Cisco pulled me with him to a room with a whole bunch of tools.
There was a tarp over something, he pulled it off.
"Your very own suit!" Cisco said excited.
I smiled brightly.
It was amazing!

( just imagine it as iris's suit when she gets speed but instead of the purple it's your favorite color)

I put it on using my speed.
I held the mask in my hands.
Cisco nodded smiling.
I put it on acting normal on the outside but I'm freaking put on the inside!!

The lights stopped flickering and it just went full black.
The place started to slowly shake.
"Go get him." Cisco said.
I ran outside, where he was.
"What you're doing is wrong! Think of your friends! Do you really think they'd want you to hurt other people for them?" I said.
"They died! Trying to save me!!" He put his hands in-front of him indicating he was about to hit.
I tried running to the right but he shot there and it hit me in my leg.
I winced in pain as I ran to the cortex.
"He's inside." Barry said.
Caitlin and Cisco ran over to help me.
Barry got a call, it was from his boss saying that joe and iris were in a hostage situation.
As in they were the hostages.
"I need my powers back, now!" He said
I felt useless, I've been training a lot and when I finally get a chance to help out I ruin it.
"I can go!" I said trying to get up.
"No you can't Y/n you can't even walk, you need to let your speed healing kick in." Caitlin said.
All I wanted to do was say sorry right then and there but I didn't want the "it's not your fault" talk everyone around here gives.
It is my fault! I wasn't fast enough to stop him and if I stopped him I could help joe and iris.

They all reviewed the theory I told them about.

Time jump to like ten minutes

Cisco, Caitlin, Barry, and me were by the star labs car.
Dr.Wells was on the floor, about to get blasted with lighting.
I touched Barry's hand without thinking to calm him down.
Blackout put his hands in front of him about to kill.
I looked into Barry's eyes and I saw lightning.

{now that's when you know shit about to go down😂}

He ran to Harrison's rescue.
He ran back with his suit on.
He started off dodging his hits but then went in front of them.
He walked closer to blackout and he soon fell over, the flash's power was greater than his.
It was too much for him to handle and he died.
"Iris!" Was all Barry said then ran out.
I frowned for a second, of course i was worried but... I don't know I was just starting to have feelings for Barry.
I know it's selfish iris is his best friend.
I just feel like if we ever do date I'll be in second place...
It's selfish I know...

Cisco and Caitlin had to put the body in a body bag and put it in the meta cell.
Caitlin said my leg will be better by tomorrow or so.
I need to go back to work tomorrow shit.
I better go to bed...
