Scarlet Speedsters

Part 15

I worked for the rest of the day and then went home to relax.
I was exhausted!

I fed Luna and filled up her water bowl then got changed Into a T-shirt with shorts.

I laid in bed and soon after Luna laid next to me.

I closed my eyes and laid on my side ready for bed.
Then... my phone started to ring.

"Fuck!" I cursed.

I sat up from bed and answered the phone.
It was Cisco he needed me at star labs.
I put on my suit and ran to star Labs.

When I got there I saw Barry and another speedster fighting.
The man in yellow... Barry told me about him.

He killed his mother.

I ran to them and started getting hits on the man in yellow.
When I was about to punch his face he caught my fist and threw me onto the floor.

Him and Barry started at it again.
I groaned and Caitlin helped me up.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." I said.
I rushed back over there and me and Barry tried to fight.

We both got beat up pretty bad.
He punched Barry's stomach and started punching his face.

I ran over to the man in yellow and tried getting some punches in myself.

He stopped hitting Barry and he grabbed me by the neck.

"Oh Y/n... always trying to stick up for him aren't you?" He said.

I tried to get his hands off of my neck but he just gripped it a little tighter.

I felt the air slipping away as he still choked me.

"You don't get it do you?" The man in yellow started. "You'll never get him, no matter what.... he'll always go back to her, and you know that."

Barry was on the floor in pain.
A blast of fire hit the man in yellow making him let go of me.

I fell to the ground and gasped for air.

"Our race is not yet done, see you soon, flash." He sped off into the distance.

I stayed on the floor in pain.
I think he broke my leg or arm.
Maybe even both!

I was bleeding from my lip and near my cheek.
Caitlin ran over to the man who saved me and Cisco went to help Barry.

I laid there still trying to catch my breath.
Cisco then came to help me up.

I tried to stand up but soon almost fell.
Barry caught me.

"I think I broke my leg." I winced.
Cisco helped me stand.

I put one arm around his shoulders to support me.
He put his arm on my shoulder too making sure I don't fall.
The fire guy flew off.

Cisco helped me inside star labs and Barry was angry the man in yellow got away.
Caitlin cleaned up my cuts and said that I did in fact, have a broken leg.

She told me it should be fine in about two days and to rest.

Barry ran me home.
"Hey thanks for fighting along side me." He said

"Anytime." I smiled

One of my arms was around Barry for support and his hand was on my waist holding me up.

I tried not to be embarrassing or weird.

I put my key in and I opened the door.
Barry helped me to my bedroom.

"Thanks." I said

He smiled.
Ugh that stupid smile that could make a girls heart melt any day.

I don't know why I wrote that it makes me cringe but I'll just leave it.

I sat down on the side of my bed and Barry stood facing me.
I stood up holding myself with the side of the bed.
I put one of my bands on his shoulder and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks for everything Barry." I smiled.
I could see a little bit of pink in his cheeks.

"Look," he said
I knew where this was going and it broke my heart.

"I kind of have feelings for someone. I'm trying to get over them..." he said putting a hand on his back neck.

I nodded fake smiling a bit.

"Oh yeah no I-I totally get it..." I said obviously lying.

"We're cool though, right?" He asked

"Sure, we're good." I nodded

"I gotta go, see you later." He said and ran out.

"See you later..." I said quietly.

Luna jumped on my bed.
I'm glad I have the next three days off from work.

I just wanna take time to myself.
Joe invited me to a Christmas party or get together he's having at his house.

I'm not gonna go though...

I turned off my lamp and laid in bed.
I put my hands under my head and stared at the ceiling.

Luna was being really sweet tonight.
Like she knew I was sad or something.
She cuddled up into a ball next to my side.

I took my hands out from under my head and started to slowly pet her.

I heard her purr and she fell asleep.
I couldn't sleep though.

The words Barry said had kept repeating in my head.

"Look, I kinda have feelings for someone. I'm trying to get over them."
"We're cool though, right?"

Idiot.

No we're not cool!
I thought he liked me, I was starting to like him...

Maybe what the man in yellow said was true, I'll never be with him. Just one of the many things I have to deal with.
