"He kissed you?" Darla gasped, holding her chest a large smile on her face.

I nodded, shoving the fifth snickers down my throat. "Then he just walked off in a super cool way, while I stared gaping at him!"

Darla cackled, leaning further over her desk to listen to me, "what did he taste like?"

"The fuck kind of question is that?!" I snapped over at her.

"A valid one!"

"I'm not telling you that! I'm only telling you this because that was two days ago, he's been actually avoiding me since then. I've spent mind numbing amounts of time in the fucking living room with Raina and Aaron just hoping to see him, but he doesn't come home!"

"Did you text or call?"

I scoffed, "I'm trying to come off as casual as possible, if I call him then he'll know I want to talk to him and he then has the option to fucking decline my call. Darla I need you give me sound advice, damnit."

She gave me a hard look, dropping back into her seat, "well I fucked a lawyer who never called me back, so I wouldn't take boy advice from me."

I tapped her shoulder lightly, "if it makes you feel better, I probably would have fucked Don too."

"He was good looking" she pouted before shaking her head, "but we have a meeting to get to, big news and all. So lets get going" she muttered as I snatched my half empty water bottle.

We walked beside each other, her maroon jumpsuit in contrast to me sky blue dress.

"What is this meeting about again?" I asked.

"Shaun's replacement" Darla added way too lightly.

I side eyed her, taking a large gulp of water, looking up at the glass conference room where I could make out a lot of heads of departments, Mr and Mrs Cords, and even ... Silos.

I choked on my water, right as we were about to walk into the room.

There was no other choice but to spit it completely on the floor, as I desperately gasped for breath.

Darla cackled from beside me as I leaned up and slowly wiped the water from my face, "I'm fucking fine, thanks for asking" I snapped as Darla gasped for air.

I shoved open the glass doors, everyone already staring at the two of us, given they had a clear view of what happened.

I straightened my dress before taking a seat towards the head of the table, refusing to look at Silos' handsome face. Darla sat beside me, still trying to swallow her laughter.

Mr. Cords also looked like he was trying not to laugh at me, "what's this meeting about?" I asked aloud, looking at Mrs. Cords, who was only shaking her head.

"We determined a replacement for Shaun" she stated.

I couldn't hide my disgust, "will I like this one?" I sighed, dutifully refusing to look at the grey eyed man staring at me.

"I doubt it, you were suspended from school for physically assaulting him" she added stiffly.

I went rigid.

"God, please, no" I whispered.

We all turned to watch as a tall man went to enter into the conference room, but didn't see the little puddle I had left.

He slipped so fast.

His body went completely parallel from the ground before he dropped and bounced.
