I smiled as the office shot me small looks of admiration before quickly looking away.
I leaned over Darla's new desk and smiled into her face as she continued to type away on her computer working, "it was funny as shit. The singing gram really pulled it together and his fucking face, Zola, his entire face was red and he looked somewhere between a tantrum and crying but it was perfect."
I smiled harder, "that's what he gets for going into my office," I snickered, "damn, I wish I had seen his face. Did he at least like my flowers?"
"The ones that you had spell out the word pussy? No. No I don't think so, that poem however, wow, Zola, I didn't know you were talented. The video is still circulating around the office. I've printed off the lyrics and have been taping them to his office door. Makes my mornings," Darla cackled as she shoved my own words in my face on a piece of printed paper.
Roses are red, violent are blue, this is my office you dumb bitch, and I'm about to show you.
I run shit around here, you stupid tick, and you should know I have the bigger dick.
Don't fuck with my chain of command, don't fuck with my shit, or no one will find out where I hid your body, bitch.
I may be out sick, but don't you ever forget, I am the head bitch in charge, I run this shit.
Guess who.
Dumbass.
I couldn't help but smile
"You should have seen the delivery boys face, he was dying as he sang the lyrics. Made my fucking year."
"Funny, I only got a C in poetry," I hummed looking at Darla's bright face, things must be going well with her new dude that she is still refusing to give me information on.
She smirked up at me, "so did you decide if you were going to the film party? Raina did invite you, plus the free food and drinks at this director's house are going to be top tier. Are we going or not?"
"We?"
"Yes, we bitch. Did you not just hear me say food, plus I like to stare at attractive people while I shove free food in my mouth. It's a hobby. Can we please go? Or are things weird between you and Silos?"
I rolled my eye at her antics, "Silos and I are fine. He helped me when I was sick, it was two days ago, no big deal," I shrugged, trying not to glare at her as she smirked up into my face.
"So you've talked to him then?"
I pursed my lips, trying not to call her out of her name, "no."
She snorted, "do you notice that after every time you two get close physically or emotionally he suddenly disappears? Are you still staying at his place?"
I rolled my eyes, "yes, he claims he can't find a location on Cameron and that is quote on quote, concerning. So, I have to spend my time avoiding staring into my cousin or her soon to be ex-husband's eyes while living in the same place as them."
"Men are so stupid. And so are you, Zola, if he didn't like you why would he help you? Why would he kiss you?"
I glared at as I pretend like I haven't asking myself those questions a million times over, "I can't answer that, what I can answer is what I see. I see him, and he loves Raina. Why? I don't know, she's pretty shitty once you get to know her, but its not that way for him. Maybe he sees some of her in me and is just taking the opportunity since I did admit to being willing to have all his children, but who knows for sure."
