I know I need to stop fidgeting but I can't.
Not with the warmth of Silos body so close to mine in this small ass booth that the annoying ass hostess had put us in after staring and drooling at the man that is currently with me.
Not when said man hasn't said a single word since he lead me away to this restaurant a block away from my job, his hand never straying from the small of my back.
Not when he had been staring at the side of my face for the past ten minutes while I tried to pretend that I was interested in the ceiling and floors of this fancy place he had taken us to.
Not when all I wanted was the fucking waffle I ordered to get here with my side of crunchy bacon and coffee so I could pretend like my life wasn't falling apart at the seams.
So I could pretend like I didn't know what he was clearly going to say.
It was a one time thing.
It was a mistake.
It won't happen again.
But first, I need to stop fidgeting.
I smiled brightly as our waiter approached and placed my hot cup of coffee in front of me and Silos' disgusting water in front of him, his eyes twinkling as he looked down at me, "your food will be here soon."
I was already drowning my coffee in sugar and cream, "thanks."
I kept my eyes on my coffee as I continued to stir it hoping to shit that I was able to keep my emotions in check for this conversation that was sure to come.
I know how he feels about Raina, I can see it clear as day on his face anytime she was in the room. I should have never slept with him, never befriended him when it became clear that I had feelings for him.
But I'm stupid and he's sex on a stick, I only have so much will power.
"You're quiet," Silos said forcing my eyes to meet his waiting orbs of clouds.
"I'm nervous," I sighed clasping my hands in front of me watching his face.
His lips tilt, "I doubt you're ever nervous."
"Well, I know this conversation is going to be ... difficult," I wince staring at him as he tilts his head.
The other side of his mouth tilts up, "where should we start?"
Last night or my new stalker?
Not even a choice.
"So, last night was ... interesting," I start watching his face shutter as he watched me.
He was going to kill me if he didn't give a hint into this conversation.
"From amazing to interesting in just a few hours," he hums sounding completely detached.
I gave him a flat look that had that hideously handsome face of his grinning.
"Fine! You want the truth?"
He smirks, "sure, let's start there."
I rolled my eyes, "I had a great fucking time last night! As if we need a reminder that the world isn't fair not only are you fucking gorgeous but your dick is huge, too" he choked. "Congrats. You supplied some of the best sex I've ever had, so hats off to you," another shocked cough. "I'll admit I was a bit surprised, you kind of caught me off guard. You have to have women flashing you in the streets and yet here you are with me," I squint down at my chest, "I mean I have nice tits, don't get me wrong, but super model tits, that's a stretch."
