OC was born and raised in Sunnydale her entire life born to a witch and warlock for parents. She was raised knowing about the night life and weird stuff that happens in Sunnydale.
Her parents raised her to understand that things aren't always black and white that there are also shades of grey, that humans can be evil as well as good, that not all demons are evil there are peaceful ones to and just because you have a soul that doesn't automatically make you good.
OC is the same age as Buffy she stayed out of Buffy and the Scooby gangs radar but was in the background watching them so she knows what is happening in Sunnydale
When Buffy dies at the end of season five (5) a rare thing happened OC was called as the next Slayer even though she is 20 to 21 years old. Even then she stayed in the background and slayed and didn't let the Scooby gang about her being called because she had watched how they treated Buffy putting her on a pedestal, staging interventions always questioning her and her judgement and decisions and their bigotry.
OC managed to stay hidden until Spike found her out slaying they talked and Spike would keep her secret after she explained her reasoning about the Scooby gang Spike offered to help train her as he had knowledge about slayers after killing two (2) and studying more
Spike continues to train OC in secret until season seven (7) when he goes to her about the first and ask for her help and takes her to Buffy's house at the end of episode 15 Get it done. She goes with Buffy when everyone kicks her out explaining to the Scooby gang this is one of the reasons she didn't come to them when she was called
After the battle and Sunnydale's collapse she left as she didn't want to join the others so she moved to Smallville during season one (1) while she was patrolling she comes across Lex being attacked by vampires after saving him and explaining what attacked him and who she was Lex offered her a job as his Personal Assistant (PA) and bodyguard
Agreeing because she needs a job she moves into the mansion while working for Lex they start to become friends OC tells Lex about Spike her friend and mentor and more about the supernatural and Lex tell her about his mum and the weird things that happen in smallville
Lex and OC get together sometime in season 2
Lex won't marry Lana or Helen or cheat on OC and OC won't cheat on Lex Lex and OC get a happy ending
Lionel is the bad guy
