Caecilius is in the market. Caecilius has a banker's stall in the market. Hermogenes comes to the forum. Hermogenes is a greek merchant. The merchant has a ship. The merchant greets Caecilius.
"I am a greek merchant," says Hermogenes. "I am an honest merchant. I am looking for money."
"Why are you looking for money?" says Caecilius. "You have a ship." (Maybe cause he isn't honest)
"But my ship is not here," responds Hermogenes. "My ship is in Greece. I have no money. I am honest, however."
"Look!" says Caecilius. "I have a wax tablet. You have a ring?"
"I have a ring," responds Hermogenes. "The ring has a seal. Look! I press in the wax tablet."
Caecilius hands over the money. The merchant takes the money and runs out of the market.
Alas, Hermogenes does not return. The merchant doesn't give the money back. Caecilius calls Hermogenes to the law court.

Celer works in the house. Celer paints a picture in the living room. A huge lion is in the photo. Celer leaves from the house.
Grumio from the shop and enters the house. Grumio is drunk. Grumio sees the picture. Grumio is terrified.
"Oh dear!" Grumio says. "The lion is in the living room. The lion is watching me. The lion fiercely attacks me!"
Grumio runs from the living room and enters the kitchen. Clemens (Oh poor Clemens) is in the kitchen. Clemens watches Grumio.
"Why are you terrified?" Clemens asks.
"Oh dear! The lion is in the living room." Grumio says.
"Yes," responds Clemens, "And there is a drunk slave in the kitchen."
