"SANS! IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE THAT YOU WISH TO COMFORT YOUR PET BUT, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE IT. IF YOU WISH TO CONTINUE WITH THIS 'SHOW OF AFFECTION', TAKE IT TO YOUR ROOM!" Papyrus's voice rang out into the silent room breaking the moment that you didn't know that you and Sans were having. Sans immediately releases you from his embrace and a light red blush spreads across his face.

Just as the awkward silence starts to set back in, Undyne breaks it, "Papyrus?" her calm voice sends chills down your spine. You can tell she is trying to calm the internal storm before it explodes. "Did you just call (Y/n) Sans's pet?" Her voice slightly cracked at the word pet.

"YES. SANS HAS CLAIMED THIS HUMAN AS A PET, WHY? I AM NOT SURE. HE SEEMS TO HAVE GROWN SOMEWHAT ATTACHED TO HER IN THE LITTLE TIME THAT THEY HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER. BUT THERE IS NO NEED TO FRET, I THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE PAPYRUS, WILL MAKE SURE SANS DOES NOT DO ANYTHING 'INAPPROPRIATE' TO HER AGAIN!" you wince at how loud Paps voice is but stay silent and his little 'speech' plays through Undyne's head. You watch as she seems to replay over some words that make her upset.

"What do you mean by again?" Her voice is calm but has an undertone of anger. Its as if she is talking to a significant other after they fucked up. She's trying to keep the little 'cool' she has left but its starting to seep out through little cracks in her demeanor.

"WELL, YOU SEE UNDYNE, SANS HERE HAS SOUL PRESSED WITH THE HUMAN BEFORE. bUT, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, IT HAS ONLY HAPPENED ONCE. SO THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY. SANS WILL BE THOROUGHLY PUNISH FOR SUCH DISGRACEFUL ACTION WHILE I WAS PRESENT IN THE HOUSE!" You bring your gaze to Sans who is visibly sweating. He starts to back towards the door as you look away. You understood everything that has happened so far except for one thing. Soul Pressing. You had never heard of it before. Is that what he was doing when he touched your soul? Was that why you moaned? You blushed remembering the incident from earlier today.

"Um, Undyne?" you say quietly hoping for her not to have heard. Something told you that you shouldn't ask but your curiosity got the best of you. She shifts your attention to you. "Uh, what's soul pressing? I haven't heard of it before. Is it something only monsters can do?" She looks at you shocked. Her face slowly became an unknown shade of purple from anger. You take a step back out of instinct so, if you need to, you can run. Thankfully, her gaze left you and made its way to a certain short skeleton. You followed her eyes to see Sans almost to the door but stop when he realizes that the attention was now on him. He starts to sweat even more when he saw the unnatural shade of purple Undyne had become. He gulps and slowly backs up.

"Sans," Undyne's voice was uncomfortably calm, "please explain why you soul pressed with (Y/n) without them knowing what it is. AND... Why you are trying to disappear when you are partly responsible for her being here in the first place."

Sans is now sweating uncontrollably but with escape out of the question now, he takes a shaky breath. "To be fair. I didn't know that she would react the same way. No one ever tested to see if a human would react the same way monsters do." Sans tries to explain.

"So you DECIDED that YOU would try?" Undyne was slowly losing any composure that she had surprisingly held onto.

"I didn't mean to soul press her! I was just curious because I couldn't figure out her soul trait!" Sans snapped. You looked between the quarreling monsters. One look at Undyne and you knew that she had lost it. You looked back at Sans who was slightly shacking, from fear or anger, you weren't quite sure but one thing was for sure. You didn't want him to get hurt. He had helped you even though he knew it would put him in a bad situation. You also considered him somewhat of a friend. You knew you didn't want your first friend in 7 years to get hurt. So you did the only thing that you could think of. Hopefully, he would trust you enough to take your advice.

You took a deep breath and steadied your voice. "Sans." He looked at you before you continued. "I think you might want to run." He stared at you confused until you pointed to Undyne who was now a plum that was shaking from pure anger. His eyes went wide with the realization that if she caught him, he wouldn't walk away unscathed. He started to back toward the door before booking it out of the house with Undyne hot on his trail.

"I DIDN'T KNOW THAT SANS COULD RUN THAT FAST," Papyrus commented. He then turned and walked into the kitchen. "HUMAN, ARE YOU HUNGRY?" The question caught you off guard. No one had cared about your wellbeing since your mom died, You followed Papyrus into the kitchen and looked around. It seemed normal except for the abnormally tall sink. "WELL?" You were snapped back into reality with the question.

"Um, yeah. I guess. Uh, Papyrus?" You wait for a response from the tall skeleton.

"YOU MAY CALL ME PAPS." He stated.

"Uh, Paps? Where will I sleep?" You ask.

"IN SANS' ROOM OF COURSE!" you gulp at the response but keep quiet. You watch Paps make something for you to eat. It looked and smelled amazing. "OF COURSE," he said suddenly, "I CAN'T LET YOU SLEEP IN A ROOM YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WITH. I WILL CALL METTATON OVER TO HELP YOU PERSONALIZE IT." You stared at Paps unsure of what to say. He turned and handed you some lasagna and you thanked him.
