After watching some T.V. for about 2 hours, you start to drift off to sleep. You let yourself slide until your head lands on something soft. Not really caring what you're laying on, you fall into a restless sleep.

~dream~

You wake up in a soft pink bed. Looking around you notice small details that look familiar to you. You stand up to take a look around and become uneasy when the realization of where you are hits you. You were back in the house you escaped from before you fell into the underground. Was it all just a dream? Was your mind playing some sick joke on you? As you ponder over the questions, the door creaks open revealing the man you never wanted to see again. You had run from many people before but were always brought back to HIM. The man who started it all. The man your father had abandoned you to. You slowly back away from him until you hit the bed and fall onto it. He made his way closer to you until he was practically on top of you. Without warning, he pulled out a long, sharp, knife and pressed it against your neck. You could feel the blood run down your torso and drip to the floor. "This is what you get for thinking you could escape me," and with that, he slit your throat causing you to bolt awake screaming.

~end dream~

You wake up in a cold sweat and you frantically look around at your surroundings. You sigh in relief when you recognize the skelebros living room. As your heart rate starts to slow down and return to its normal rate, Sans comes running down the stairs. He runs over to you and starts looking you over for injuries. "S-Sans? Are you alright?" You ask the terrified skeleton.

"Am I alright? You're the one who screamed! I swear, I go upstairs for one second." He mumbled the last part in hopes you wouldn't hear him, unfortunately for him, you did. Curious as you were about his mumbling, you understood why he was so worried. You did wake up screaming. Without realizing it, you start to cry. You try to stop but you just can't. All the pain, fear, and uncertainty that you had piled up through all the years came back like a giant tsunami hoping to drown you in your sorrows. You feel Sans hug you and whisper soothing words but it's all drowned out by your thoughts. You cry into Sans' chest until you slowly fall asleep. Hoping to sleep peacefully this time, you let your mind slip away.

(Sans POV):

We'd been watching a show for a little while when I felt her head on my shoulder. I look over to see her fast asleep. I smile to myself. She's so cute when she's sleeping. She snores quietly and I chuckle at how peaceful she is. I watch as her expression turns into a confused one. She must be having quite the dream. She moves slightly and ends up sliding off my shoulder. I take this as my cue to leave. I make my way to the bedroom to get ready before Boss has some people over. As I'm getting changed I hear (Y/n) scream. My mind goes blank as the one thing that comes to mind is to make sure she's safe. I rush downstairs to see her looking around slightly confused. I rush to her side and start to make sure she's not hurt in any way. "S-Sans? Are you alright?" Her question takes me back. Is she seriously asking ME if I'm ok? She's the one who screamed!

"Am I alright? You're the one who screamed! I swear, I go upstairs for one minute..." I mumble the last part and let the sentence hang in the air. I finish looking her over and am relieved to see no injuries. If she wasn't in danger then why did she scream? I look at her ready to question her actions when I see she's crying. I quickly hug her and tell her comforting things. For some reason, I know she can't hear them. She cries into my chest until she falls asleep again. I gently set her down on the couch and decided to call Boss. Maybe it isn't the best time to have friends over. I can tell some things going on but I don't know what. My only guess is that it's something that happened on the surface. I sigh as I reach for the phone. I dial Boss's number and wait for him to pick up his phone.

"WHAT IS IT SANS! I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING" Boss screamed at me from wherever he was.

"Boss, I don't think that today's the best day to have people over. Some things bothering the kid." I wait for him to yell at me again but he doesn't.

"What's wrong with (Y/n)?" His voice is surprisingly quiet and is laced with concern.

"I don't know. But I think it has something to do with her past. We were watching some T.V, waiting for you to come home when she fell asleep. I went to change and heard her scream. I thought someone had attacked her but that wasn't the case. Whatevers bugging her is mental. The look on her face when I came downstairs after she screamed was strange. She was looking around as if she didn't know where she was. When she realized where she was she looked relieved. It was kinda like she thought she was somewhere else. I think we need to find a way to get her past out of her. Something happened on the surface and I want to know before we make it back there." I waited for Boss's response but he seemed to be speechless.

"Undyne has spoken about (Y/n) opening up to her about her childhood. Apparently she had an amazing time on the surface but, there was something she wasn't saying. Undyne said that all the stories stopped when they got to a certain age. I think something happened after that age that she doesn't want to talk about. You seem quite close to her. Maybe you can get her to tell you some of the stories she shared with Undyne. Maybe, just maybe, we'll figure out what happened to her," Boss said in a quiet voice. He did have a point though, something did happen. I think talking to Undyne should be the first step in figuring this out.

"Ok, Boss. I'll see what she will tell me. Just don't bring anyone over. I don't think it's a good idea." I hang up the phone and call Undyne, hoping that she'll be able to tell me more about what's going on.
