Friends Unite

Chapter 21- The Parting of the Ways

The quest was over, the light had been restored, and the seven friends began to leave the Secret Glade.

"I need to go back to my subjects," Fiona spoke first. "As much as I hate being king, it is something I must do." And she scampered away.

"And we need to return to our parents," said Rose. "It's been so long since we last saw them, and they must be so worried about us." Daniel came over and put his arm around her, and they walked away together.

"I need to go find a place to live," Isaac mumbled, and left the glade.

"I need to go back to Fairyland," said Nia. "Yes, it's so babyish and horrendous there, but nonetheless, it's my home, and always will be. And being in the Land of Darkness made me long for it." And she flew out of the glade and up into the clear night sky.

Now it was just Siluetta and Edwin left in the glade. They both stood there in silence, looking at each other.

"Um... why are you still here?" Siluetta finally broke the silence, gazing at him, hoping, hoping...

"I didn't have anywhere to go," he said softly. "And I could never live without you, anyway."

"Neither could I," she replied softly. 

And then he put his arm around her, and they left the Secret Glade and walked off together into the sunrise.
