After Aurora left, Angel lowered his head and said with a sad face

WW: Is it my fault that she left mad?

Me: No, it's not your fault. You don't know her story; let's just say that she got mad with the situation.

WW: What situation?

Me: Her mom left them when she was a baby and since then, her father raised her. A few days after she turned 18, her father died in a shooting.

WW: You get that it's awkward for anything to happen between us.

Me: Yes, it would be better if nothing happened, since now you are siblings and you should spend time together. I think it's better to stay friends.

He nodded and we hugged. Then Aurora walked in.

A: What's going on here?

Me: It's not what you think, we're just friends.

She laughed and turned to Angel.

A: I'm sorry I left like that. I'll explain.

WW: You don't have to, Alicia told me everything.

A: I see...

She looked at me and then continued talking.

A: I want to talk to her; she has to explain why she left us.

WW: She died two years ago. A mutant killed her. That's the reason I didn't want to be a mutant.

Me: So, you inherited the X gene from your mom.

WW: Truth is that you look like her. You have her black hair and blue eyes. It's getting late, I should go.

A: We'll talk soon.

Me: Goodnight.

We fell asleep. The next two days I trained on fire and lightning. Every time I asked why he left that day, he changed the subject. Today we started training on the element of air. At first he told me some things and then we started bending the air.

Dad: Watch me. I'll show you how to defend yourself using air.

He showed me the movements I had to copy. I copied them perfectly.

Dad: Since you did that right, I will attack with the elements and you have to defend yourself by only using air.

I didn't have time to answer and he threw a water ball at me. I got wet.

Me: That's unfair. I didn't even get to react.

Dad: If this was a battle, you wouldn't get a warning.

He threw another ball at me, this time it was air. I made a shield with air. Then he threw earth and fire. I fended them off successfully. He was holding two water balls. He threw them at me and one of them became ice. I managed to avoid it. I turned around and thought about a shield of fire being formed. And it happened.

Dad: I said use only air.

Me: That's what I did, but I thought about fire and it happened.

We continued training.

Aurora's POV

I was training with Storm. She put a blindfold over my eyes and placed five plants in front of me. She told me that one of them was withered and I had to feel which one it was and bring it back to life. I run my hand over each plant without touching them and I felt that the last one was withered. I went closer, touched the soil in its roots and felt it blossom again. I took the blindfold off and the plant was alive.

O (Ororo): Great. Good job. Now I want you to destroy the plants one by one and also bring them back to life one by one.

Me: Okay. I did as she told me and destroyed them. But when I had to bring them back to life, I did that to all of them at the same time. Storm was impressed.

End of Aurora's POV

After I was done with my training, I got a text from Pietro asking me out. I went to Aurora.

Me: Pietro asked me out. Will you come with me to ask for permission to leave?

A: Yes. And you're lucky too, because Xavier is out and Logan is in charge.

We found Logan in the kitchen and he was taking a beer from the fridge.

L: What do you want, kids?

Me: We want permission to leave and go see my mum.

L: Okay. Only if Alex comes with you.

He said when he saw Alex passing by.

Alex: What did I do now?

L: You're going with them!

Alex: What if I don't want to?

A: What do you mean you don't want to?

L: Only for a couple of hours.

Then Aurora stared at Logan and then at his beer.

L: Okay, as long as you want.

He said and left.

A: You can go now, since you don't want to come with us.

Alex: I was just joking. Where are we going?

A: Just follow us.
