Chapter 14

Aurora came back in the morning.

Me: What happened? Did you have fun last night?

A: We don't have time for chit chat. We have to get ready for the mission. We'll talk about the rest later.

Me: Fine, but you won't get away with it.

She laughed and we started getting ready. I put my uniform on and another pair of clothes over it. So did Aurora. We took a bag, in order to put our things inside. We put our masks on and we left.

When we arrived we found the other people and started the rally. When he came out and started talking, we got the chance to walk away and put the fake badges on that show we are interns in this lab. We walked towards the main entrance and after they checked our badges, they let us in. We entered the building, found a quiet place, took the extra clothes off and hid the bag. We started searching. Luckily, it didn't take long. The serum was in his office in a safe. Aurora pulled the safe apart, we took the serum and she put the safe in its previous state. At some point we heard footsteps. It was the security guys. We hid under his desk and very soon we heard other voices; and we could recognize them. It was Magneto and his people. We cannot leave. Not both of us.

A: What are we going to do now?

Me: Firstly, we will let them take each other out.

A: And then?

Me: Then one of us leaves with the serum and the other causes a distraction. You leave, I stay. You'll take our things from where we left them.

A: But...

Me: No buts. One of us can leave. I am going to go be the distraction right now.

I didn't let her answer and I left. When I saw Magneto with his guys, my eyes met with Pietro's.

Me: Hello, I might have taken a wrong turn. I was looking for the exit. Could you point me to the right direction? –Magneto glared at me. - Never mind, I think I remember where it is. Time to go.

Eric: You aren't going anywhere!

I felt through the earth that Aurora was exiting the building. Then I got my chance and ran. I turned and went through an open door and leaned on the wall. Then I heard Magneto talking.

Eric: Pietro, go get her.

He didn't answer and in the blink of an eye, he was in front of me and holding me from the shoulders.

P: What are you doing here? –I started talking- Actually, it's better if I don't know! You have to leave.

Me: And let you alone with your father? No way!

P: I can face him, you can't.

He kissed me passionately. I left. I jumped from the window. I hate to leave him alone. I started running.

Pietro's POV

I turned around and saw Juggernaut. He grabbed me and then my dad showed up.

Eric: Where is the girl? Why are you holding him?

C (Cain): He let her go. And it's not just that, he kissed her too.

He looked at me with a smirk.

Me: If you hurt her...

Eric: You'll do absolutely nothing, because I have your sister.

He left.

End of Pietro's POV

I didn't get too far and stopped. I cannot leave him alone. I headed back; I didn't get too far and saw Magneto coming out of the window. I didn't let him do anything and I attacked with ice. He pulled some nails from the building and threw them at me. I raised ice walls and the nails hit the walls. I went from the side and pulled his legs with water and he fell.

He got up and looked furious. He pulled a pillar and wrapped it around me.

Eric: Enough with the games!

He hit me on the head and everything turned black.

Aurora's POV

Alicia was gone and I was left staring the door with the serum in my hands. I don't have time for delays though. I have to get out of here. I cannot use my powers to get out, because according to the building's plans, we know that it is dangerous to destroy any of these walls. I'm trying to think of a way to get out, without making any noise... I got it! I'll get out through the vents. After I got crammed in the vent, I found the way to the room where we left our bags. I secured the serum in a special case and put the clothes over my uniform.

I was once again in the main hallway and headed towards the exit. Around me there were unconscious and dead security guards. One of them was about to die. After I saved him, I punched him unconscious before he could see my face. I exited the building, and luckily the outside guards had changed shifts, so nobody suspected anything when I left alone.

After I moved farther away from the building, I threw away my fake badge and got in the crowd. I started running, and I was thinking that I had to get to the school, leave the serum and get back for Alicia. When I had covered half the distance, I saw Angel and Alex land in front of me.

Me: What are you doing here?

Angel: The professor heard you and sent us. Give me the serum.

I gave him the bags and he left immediately.

Alex: Let's go and help Alicia now.

Me: Hold on. –I threw away the extra clothes and put my mask on.- Let's go!
