The rest of the week is mostly boring. The brave souls make side comments as I pass, but no one seemed to have tattled on me to the teachers. Not even the girl I slapped. I may have bruised her pride along with her cheek.

I make fast friends with Jerry's group when they sit next to me in the classes I share with them. I was grateful for their company, because it distracted me from looking out the window and thinking.

Thinking got me nowhere useful. Just made the depression worse.

I was thankful when Friday came soon. I was already hearing about Viv's plans of a photo shoot over the weekend, and how she wanted my opinion as co-ambassador for the outfits. Despite not being the official ambassador anymore, she would always try to include me.

I scroll through the pictures she sent me as students stream into the classroom. However, my head was not on the task of picking an outfit. It was on the recent conversation with Viv and Rose about Michael.

"Isaac's death hit him the hardest. He's been skipping classes and... I'm afraid he's on the verge of doing something stupid."

I bit my lip and listened. I didn't have a response that would be helpful. And I still don't. The topic wasn't new, it had been discussed to more lengths during the last two months. But it hadn't been as prominent as now.

Going to school, where once we'd all see Isaac the most...it wasn't easy on anyone.

I find myself scrolling through the group pictures we had, from Vivian's birthday party.

"What were your friends like?"

I lift my head to find Holden looking over me with his dark blue eyes, nodding over to the picture of the royals. What a title they gave themselves.

As he takes a seat, I point and tell him, "Well, Vivian is the most energetic, she'll drag you everywhere. Rose is a little tough to crack, but she's nice in her own way. Michael is..."

He's a lot of things that I couldn't put together. "He's protective, and dramatic, and does anything to avoid boredom. Isaac- He was...the smart one that never really needed to study. He'll do anything to protect the people he loves.

"Um, there's also Katrina. Ambitious girl. We actually got off on the worst start, I punched her, also in a cafeteria with people watching." I laugh. "Doubt I'll become friends with that girl I slapped though."

He doesn't react as I expected, "They sound nice, and different."

"Kind of like your group of friends."

"You're part of it now Camille. It's our group." I smile at him, completely honoured and touched at the sound of it. I think depression just took the back seat.

On Saturday I decide to head down to the book store with a stack of some old books. I never thought I'd part with some of them, but I'd outgrown the stories of fairy tales. Now I was searching for a good profit. And maybe a new set of books.
