Life was fun I suppose I had the man I adored the most with me, a family that loved me and had the most extraordinary friends. But I guess the best things in life don't last forever because after that night, everything just went downhill. To be fair I never believed in love I believed it was stupid honestly just a word to say to your spouse, lover or even a friend. Well to be completely honest with you I stopped thinking that way when I met him, Alexander Hamilton, the man who I fell in love with. He was attractive there wasn't a feature on his body that I hadn't grown fond of. I loved him for all off his imperfections. I loved the fact that he wasn't just like every other guy. He was like my missing piece he was the complete opposite of me but that's what brought us closer together.
Today marks the 5th year which brought me such happiness as well as pain. Alexander Hamilton, he was the reason I smiled but now cry. He was the reason I lost confidence in myself. I loved him with all my heart yet that wasn't enough because he's not with me right now. But he left me a gift that not even my well-off parents could ever give me. He gave me the gift of conceiving a child. My son my little Pip the only other person in my life I am certain that loves me as much as I love him. He has his fathers violet-blue eyes he has freckles all over his body mainly his face and his complexion is olive-like mine. I don't plan on contacting Alexander cause if he really loved me as much as he said he did he would have come back for me and well he isn't here so maybe it's time I should move on.
"Hey Eliza wake up" My sister Peggy whispered
"What time is it," I ask out of curiosity
"Time for you to wake up you need to take Philip to school" I had completely forgotten about that
"Oh my days thank you, Peggy, for reminding me"
"Also don't worry on getting Philip ready me and Angie already got our cute little nephew sorted" she smiled
"I love you guys so much"
"Eliza get up quickly you still don't have that much time left," she said
I rushed out of bed and ran straight into the showers and when I was finished I put some clothes on and got Philip and we got in the car.
"Pip promise me you'll be a good boy today and I've got a surprise for you when you get back home for your birthday," I said to Philip
"Am I going to meet daddy?" my heart shattered before he had even finished the sentence
"No pip but I promise you'll love it" I croaked out trying to hide the pain in my voice
I walk Philip inside his school I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek then as soon I got in my car I broke down in tears. Every memory of me and him came roaming around my brain. I've been attempting to avoid thinking about him but I can't no matter how much I try I can't let him go.
"Hello Eliza hurry up we need to set up Pips birthday party," Angie said
"Yeah I'm coming it's just I am going to the store and getting him some extra presents" I replied
"Honestly Eliza Pip has the best mum in the world"
"Yet he still wants to meet his father anyways I need to get going I'm almost at the store" I reply
"Okay bye love you"
"Love you too"
After the call ended, I drive to the nearest store and buy Philip a keyboard maybe for the future I could teach him something, some action figures and cars. Then I go pay and get back home to finish off the decorations and food for Pips birthday.
"Hey Liza I've missed you," John said whilst giving me a hug
"I've missed you also" I answered back
"Wait where are the others," I asked
"Peggy and Hercules went to go pick up the cake and Angie and Lafayette are going buy pip some more stuff" he answered
"So how have you been John I haven't seen you with anyone lately"
"I don't really have time for that I've been too busy working on my Organization to ban all types of slavery and Racism how about you Liza," John asked
"I mean I'm coping"
"You know he's back in town," John said awkwardly
I know who he meant but I've been trying to avoid talking about him but all I do is think about him.
"Of course he'll come back who doesn't miss home anyways let's get these wrapped up for my little boy," I said changing the subject
When everyone came back we got everything sorted and now I just need to go pick up the birthday boy. I picked him and his best friend Theodosia up and drove home.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHILIP!" Everyone screeched as soon as we entered our apartment and I couldn't help but cry my little boy is 5 years old today.
"Thank yew mummy," he said whilst opening all the gifts I bought him
"No problem hunny" and then he gave me a massive hug and a kiss on the cheek
"Right who's ready for some cake and candy," I asked
"Me" screamed all of Philips friends and cousins
After two more hours, the party was over and Philip fell asleep after talking to my parents and his aunt and uncles. I tuck him in then I go downstairs and help the others clean up.
"Eliza I'm so proud of you Philip has grown to be such a lovely kid," Lafayette said which causes me to smile
"Thank you Laf you don't know how relieved that makes me feel cause I feel like I'm an awful mother," I say to Lafayette
"No mon ami you are simply one of the most respectable mothers I've met," he says
I give him a hug
"He's right Eliza you're amazing" Hercules added then I went over and gave him a hug
The doorbell goes off
I went to go open it and I see my friend Aaron Burr and his wife Theodosia Burr. Their daughter and Philip became really close so we kinda became close as well I guess. We also were friends in high school so we kind of bonded over all the good memories there as well.
"Hi guys she is resting in the spare room but if you want we can catch up first," I asked
"Yeah we'd love to catch up" Theodosia responded
"Well come in first" I chuckled and they walked in
I introduced everyone to everyone
"So burr how is work," I asked him he had the same job Alexander desired to have
"Well it was good until this new guy came he's so arrogant and I despise him," burr said
"So what's this arrogant man's name so I can help you get rid off him" I laughed everyone else joined in
"Hamilton" burr said
It can't be Hamilton wait, could it? There are so many people with that surname it probably Isn't even him but what if it is. I mean it makes sense because John just told me had come back.
"Wait what's his first name if you don't mind me asking," Peggy asked knowing I would if I wasn't so in shock
"Alexander Hamilton"
