Once paying his part, Shuichi left the coffee shop in exasperation. He just wanted to go to his room to cry, but knew for a fact that he needed to attend his morning class—what a pain. Thoughts buzzed through his head, fear slowly rising and manifesting into dread. He thought about what Kokichi's sexuality was; if he was gay, it would be an easy win, the competition would be over in an instant. Though, what if he was bi, or pan? What if he wasn't interested in relationships whatsoever? What if he liked someone else already? The thought scared Shuichi to death.

He tried his hardest to shake it off, but the thoughts still lingered. The boy walked to a small building, the location of his first class, which simply was a writer's workshop, as the teacher called it. He climbed up the steps that led to a large double door entrance. He made his way inside of the building and set foot into the classroom, observing the students within the room. This had been one of his classes without Ouma or Kaede. Both of them majored in music; Kaede hoped to pursue her dream of playing piano all around the world, and Kokichi wanted so badly to form a hard rock band (with nine very special people).

What if they both travel the world together? Wait, no, get yourself together, Shuichi! Damn, at least think positively, The boy thought to himself.

He sighed, beginning to take out his laptop, setting it upon his desk.

Not even one page could be typed due to his thoughts.

Kokichi lounged around in his dorm room, scrolling through his phone, trying to find one of his contacts. After a bit of scrolling (and taking the time to delete contacts he didn't remember or care for), he tapped on Kaede's icon and began to text her, as he had nothing to do.

Kokichi Ouma 10:43 AM: Hey, Kaede-Chan! Wanna hang out off campus for a bit? Shu's in a class rn and I'm boreddd!

Music Lady 10:50 AM: That would be fun, Ouma! Where to?

Kokichi Ouma 10:51 AM: Hmmmm, I dunno, maybe to a supermarket, I need to get some groceries.

Music Lady 10:53 AM:oh! that sounds fine. I need to pick some things up, too. What time?

Kokichi Ouma 10:54 AM: Maybe in about fifteen minutes? Idk about you but I can get ready in a short amount of time unlike you girls who take 2 fucking hours to do your hair.

Music Lady 10:56 AM: Ouma, that's mean! I can get ready in fifteen, I'm sure of it! You can time me.

Kokichi Ouma 10:57 AM: Eh, don't feel like it. Just don't take too long, I'll be there at your place in said amount of time.

Music Lady 11:00 AM: Alright, see you in a bit! I can't wait!

Kokichi threw his phone onto his—very cheap—couch and sauntered over to his wardrobe. He was only going to the store, so he decided that it was best to throw on something quick and simple. He dressed himself in a plain, white T-shirt and some denim jeans. He stepped into some purple sneakers, and finally coated himself in a lilac hoodie, leaving it unzipped. He combed his orchid hair and stuck a few purple bobby-pins into the locks. Ouma slipped his phone into his back pocket, and left his dorm, not before locking the door.

The short boy skipped all the way to Kaede's miniature 'house', a smile tugging at his lips as he was excited to spend time with his second best friend. Well, he wouldn't consider her a best friend. She's not up to Shuichi's level. Though, Kokichi did like her a lot; she was loyal and kind, she looked out for him and always helped him in his toughest times (Saihara did that too, Kaede just continuously asked if he was okay). He really appreciates that about her.
