We walked around his camp, people were roaming around doing various chores. Two or three children ran past wearing mischievous grins.

"I didn't know you had kids here. Ben, I'm putting them in danger. The council could find us at any moment." He shook his head and looked at the people,

"These people know what they were doing when they joined our clan. Your right, they are in danger, but most of them would be in danger anyways. Almost all of them have a scarlet child related to them. If you don't turn them in then you're considered to be a traitor. These people are just choosing to be in the right kind of danger." He fell silent as the children came running back up to us,

"Ben can you throw the stick for us?" The youngest shoved a stick towards him, "Please?" Ben smiled and grabbed the stick, aiming it high in the sky he threw it. The kids ran after it, momentarily becoming blurred masses as they morphed into their wolves.

"Wow."

"What you've never seen a wolf before?"

"I've never seen someone transform into one, it's amazing." I leaned against a tree, "what's your wolf look like?" He raised an eyebrow,

"Really."

"Come on, like you'd miss out on a chance to show off."

"Fine, just stand back." I rolled my eyes and stepped back a few feet. Ben rolled his shoulders back and squeezed his eyes shut. I would have laughed at his concentration, but, he suddenly leaped into the air and changed. Ben trotted up to me in his wolf form.

"Can I pet you?" He made a whining noise, which I took as a yes. His fur was a light brown color, and it was so soft when I ran my fingers through it. I saw the kids running towards us with the stick. "Well hot stuff, we'll have to continue this another time, the pups are headed our way." His wolf whined and leaned against me, I tried to push him off but he weighed a ton. Figuratively speaking, I think. He looked over at the pups and ran tumbling one of them over. I left before he noticed. Ian said my disguise would last for a few days, only enough for them to pass through this area. I'll be glad to be in my own skin again. Though the boys seem to like this one! Besides the fact that i'm wanted dead by a coven of vampires, this is the greatest time of my life. Smiling, I noticed a little skip in my step, let's not tell the others. To make it worse I heard singing, as I walked past a group of trees I saw a cluster of people around a bonfire. Stepping closer I burst out laughing, Steven was singing a Cody Simpson song, (Pretty Brown Eyes). He looked up and sang to me, "hey there pretty brown eyes, watcha doin' later tonight? Mind if I spend time with yo-o-u-u-u..." I blushed at all the eyes on me, so I joined him,

"Hey there pretty brown eyes, watcha doin' later tonight? Mind if I spend time with yo-o-u-u-u..." Clapping and whistling ensued. Steven grabbed my arm and we bowed to our loving audience. After everyone settled down and some other poor fool sang, Steven pulled me away to an empty log, but still close enough to feel the heat of the fire. "So... what are you doing tonight?" He asked mischievously.

"Ummm, nothing I guess?" He nodded,

"Good, let's go on a picnic." I looked at him,

"Steven, it's dark out and Ben said there are bears in these woods. No offense but i'm not looking to get eaten by wild animals."

"For a vampire you're a real wimp, besides it doesn't have to be in the middle of the woods. We can do it right here."

"Oh, really." I cocked a brow. He got up and disappeared for several minutes, before returning with -no joke- a real picnic basket. He set it down on the log and spread a checkered blanket on the ground, he took my hand and helped me down. He sat across from me and pulled out a thermos of.... hot chocolate! Which he poured into two mugs,
