Murphy stood up, causing Violet to fall over and wake up.

"Ah shit, sorry Violet." He whispered regretfully.

"Pay back for waking you up early yesterday I suppose." She laughed standing up.

"I've gotta go do something." He stated beginning to walk off.

"Whoa." Violet said grabbing his wrist. "Why are you being all secretive?" She asked feeling uneasy about the way he was acting.

Murphy shook his wrist from her grasp. "I'm not being secretive. Millers on the upper level just go sleep with him." He whispered trying not to wake everyone while walking away again.

"Hold up. Where are you going?" Violet said growing frustrated with Murphy's avoidance of the question.

Before Murphy could reply Bellamy walked into the dropship.

"What the hells taking so long-" He said halting as he saw Violet awake. "I told you not to wake her up." He grunted.

"I tried, it's kinda difficult when I'm her pillow though." Murphy muttered walking out the drop ship door.

"Since you're awake-- You wanna help me with something?" Bellamy smirked.

"Depends what it is." She replied following the two boys out of the ship towards Mbege, Jones and Atom.

"Violet and I will go get Wells, you four will be hiding in those sand hills I showed you earlier, when you hear me put my gun in safety you guys come out to hold him down and Murphy can pry the wristband off. That clear?" Bellamy asked, all the boys nodded their heads. "Kane you're with me." He said walking off towards the trees.

"What did I just agree to?" Violet questioned.

"Making the Ark think the prince is dead." He stated with a smile as he put his arm around her. "You're gonna wake him up and tell him you need his help with something and to follow you. You're gonna take him straight ahead until you see some berry bushes, I'll be there. I'll pull my gun on him and you do the same. We bring him the the sand hills and bang." He explains pointing towards Wells sleeping under a tree.

"What do you mean by bang?" Violet asked worried mildly for Wells's life.

"I'm not gonna kill him, I am going to make the Ark think he's dead though." He stated confidently well staring down at her. "Go on, I'll see you in like 5 minutes." He said gently pushing her forward before sprinting off into the darkness.

"God what the fuck did I just agree to." She mumbled to herself as she walked around other sleeping delinquents and approached Wells. "Psst Wells wake up!" She said shaking him.

Wells gasped, mildly frightened. "What is it Violet?" He asked.

"I need your help with something, follow me."

"What is it? Can't it wait until the morning?" He muttered laying back down.

Shit, Violet thought to herself, she hadn't thought that far ahead into her lie.

"I saw- a- ah- deer. We need food." She fumbled her words making up a believable fabrication.

"Agh fine, which way'd it go?" He asked.

"Straight ahead."

They walked for a few minutes and the amount of relief Violet felt when she noticed the berries up ahead was unexplainable. The sound of a gun loading startled Wells, Bellamy walked out from behind the bushes. Violet took that as her cue to load her gun too and aim it at Wells.

"What the fuck Violet. I thought we were friends." He snapped.

"Sorry, its gotta be this way." She shrugged, she was actually sorry, but her loyalty was to Murphy.

"Enough chit chat, let's move." Bellamy said leading.

They reached the sandy area Bellamy had spoken about, they were about 15 minutes outside of camp, if Wells were to shout for help no one would hear him.

"That's far enough." Bellamy snapped bringing Wells to a stop. Violet stood side by side with Bellamy, guns still drawn, Wells had his back towards smaller hills where she had guessed Murphy was hiding. "I don't want to shoot you, Wells, hell, I like you, but I do need them to think that you're dead." Bellamy said waving his gun to the sky.

"Why? Why are you doing this, for real, not some crap about getting to do what you want to do?" Wells asked genuinely wanting an answer.

"I have my reasons. I also have the gun. So I ask the questions, and the question is, why aren't you helping me? Your dad banished you, Wells, and yet here you are, still doing his bidding, following the rules. Aren't you tired of always doing what's expected of you? Stand up to him. Take off that wristband, and you'll be amazed at how good it feels."

"No. Never. Not gonna happen. Is that clear enough for you?" Wells spat aggravated by the situation.

"Yeah." Said Bellamy, and as if their minds were linked both Bellamy and Violet placed their guns on safety, Violet tucked hers back in her jacket and Bellamy in the waist of his pants. "Sorry it had to be this way." He stated as Murphy and the group came up from the hills and attacked Wells.

Violet was too busy watching the scene in front of her unfold to notice Bellamy smirk down at her. He was so pleased to have Violet Kane on his side of things, not only because of her social standing but because he was truly drawn to her presence.

As Murphy began to pry off the band while Wells shouted at him to stop, Bellamy turned around and Violet followed his lead. They started the trek back to camp, and Wells's cries for help in the distance grew softer.

"You're sly Blake." She stated breaking their silence.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He scoffed.

"You make your followers do your dirty work." She responded almost teasing him.

"I'm not sly, I'm smart." He replied with a smirk as he placed his arm around her.

Violet scoffed at his response and was pleasantly surprised by his second attempt at connecting.

"The whole camps gonna know we have guns now-" Violet sighed placing her hand over his on her shoulder.

Bellamy clenched his jaw.

"It's better to be feared than loved by your followers isn't it?" He replied.

"I suppose if you wanna run things like my father then the metaphor is true."

"The difference between me and your father is I won't be killing my own people."

"Or your own family." Violet muttered creating some awkward silence. "Sorry." She said noticing the silence she had created.

"It's alright," He said tightening his hold on her a little. "I still can't believe your father had you arrest."

"And my mother floated for saving my life."

"How the hell do you even look him in the eye?"

"I don't." Violet laughed as they arrived at camp.

"Fair enough." Bellamy sighed smiling at her.

Violet moved out of Bellamy's grasp and faced him, she wanted to stay with him but felt it was best if they parted ways long enough for her to gather her thoughts on what had just happened. Bellamy looked her up and down and just as he was about to say something -

"I'm gonna go find something to eat-- I'll see you around." Violet stated searching his eyes for a moment.

"Yeah of course - Thanks for helping me out." He replied fixing his hair.

As dawn was upon them Violet walked off to the berry bush Murphy had found early on their first day. As she watched the sunrise between the trees Murphy sat down next to her.

"I'm trying to keep you out of my shady shit while we're down here, you don't have to try and watch my back like in the Skybox." He said beginning to eat the berries.

"I'm always gonna be watching your back, what are friends for?" Violet replied throwing a berry at Murphy which he managed to catch in his mouth, Violet dramatically applauded him.
