William, now breathless and exhausted, began thinking of how to get you and he out safely, without crawling over the animatronics... but he knew that would be nearly impossible. The only exit was the vent at the front of the pizzeria, and even that was too high to get down from, let alone, over the animatronics stage.

He brushed his fingers through his black dyed hair, and began trying to think of another option, but seeing none, he turned to face you.

"Y/N, listen, the way out of here will be rough. Going through the vents with the Animatronics... they will jump at us... especially Freddy due to him being the strongest. Please, stay close, I don't want anything bad to happen to you alright...?"

You slowly nodded, your heart racing more than ever. You swallowed nervously; your right hand clenched at your chest.

William gently reached over and grabbed your hand. His fingers locked through yours. You looked at him, tears still in your eyes from when you had cried earlier.

You began to move your hand away, but he held it firmly in his grasp. It was a gentle firmness, but it felt as though he was holding himself back from something.

When you looked him in the eyes, he was looking back, his gaze gentle, his brown eyes calmly looking at you, reassuring you silently.

You took a shaky breath, nodded, and he gently let your hand go. He crawled forwards, the vents thumping ever so softly from his shoes and knees.

You crawled behind him, being as quiet as you could, but it still felt like every movement was louder than the last.

He suddenly stopped and began backing up. Your legs did not move, and you only shook, as he crawled next to you. He held a finger to his lips, and Animatronic footsteps could be heard.

"Y-yar b-b-be sailin' with ye old m-m-mate ch-chump. Y-y-yonder to pirates cove-" Foxy's voice box glitched like crazy, as he walked right under us. Williams eyes seemingly gleamed, almost beckoning for a challenge, a little twitch showing at the side of his mouth.

But once Foxy past, William kept moving forwards. You shook your head, the mad look in Williams face almost unmistakable as you kept moving forwards behind him through the vent.

William stopped after another minute or two, which felt like an eternity.

"We are right over the stage Y/N, so keep quiet." He said in a hushed whisper.

You nodded and continued following as he silently crawled over the stage. An air vent opening showed up ahead, and when you were next to it, you decided to look, and quickly clamped a hand over your mouth, holding back another scream as Foxy, Chica and Bonnie were all staring straight at you through the air vent opening. It was as though they knew you were there.

Foxy let out a sound, which sounded like a mechanical scream, and rushed at the air vent, his hook raised in the air.

You crawled forwards as fast as you could, being ever so quiet. Williams eyes, seeming to have scanned the look on your face, pushed you forwards in front of him, and you both rushed forwards through the vents, as fast as you could.

Your heart threatened to burst from your chest as you rounded another corner, to the right, and kept crawling. William sighed behind you and whispered. "You're alright Y\N, they're gone now."

You breathed heavily, and William silently crept past you to another opening in the vent. Fresh air filled your sense of smell and you sighed in relief.

William took the wrench, which he had quickly shoved in his pocket before Freddy had attacked and unscrewed the screws.

He let the opening drop forwards onto the side of the building and held a hand out to you. "Ladies first Y/N." He smiled at you.

You wanted out of this place, so you took his hand, and he helped you get down from the vent. Your feet touched the ground as he lowered you gently. He then, grabbed a loose brick, which was sturdy enough to keep him up, put his other foot on a lamp post, and screwed back up the vent.

He jumped down and dusted himself off.

Your hands raised over your mouth as your eyes widened. "W-William! Y-Your hair!" You pointed.

His hand, shakily, raised to his hair and brushed it. Black dye came off onto his hand.

His eyes widened. "Y-Y/N..."

His hair, now tinged with purple, which faded to black at the top, looked... better than his black hair... but...

You walked forwards and took a strand of hair gently into your hand. "I-Is... this your real hair color William?"

He looked at you, shock in his eyes. "Y-Yeah, it is-"

You jumped on him, hugging him tightly yet gently. Smiling.

His arms gently wrapped around you, hugging you in return.

"Y/N... why aren't you angry, or sad... or scared?"

You did not really know why either... But you told him the truth.

"A guy in purple saved my life as a child... I wanted to know who he was..." you backed up and looked at him and smiled. "Who would've guessed it was my closest friend."
