You groaned and rubbed your temples, your hand shaking a lot as you lifted it off your face and began opening your eyes.
Your eyes blinked open to a dark room, the only light from the nearby window in front of the couch you were laying on.
The surroundings did not seem familiar to you at all as you sat upright squinting. The couch, facing a nearby TV was not the usual tan you had in your living room. Instead, it was a familiar purple couch which made your mind trigger an old memory.
You shook it off and stood, wondering what you were doing at Williams house. But as you stood, you heard footsteps coming from a nearby room.
Turning towards the sound, you saw a closed door with a little light seeping through the bottom. The white door, which you knew, to be Williams door.
You angrily brushed your hand through your hair, not really remembering what had happened earlier, except for the fact you needed to have a word with your best friend about the reasoning of him rescuing you.
You took a step forwards but clutched the side of the couch holding your head shakily as your vision blurred slightly, and black dots swarmed your vision, threatening to make you faint.
The door opened and Williams voice along with it.
"Y/N? What are you doing up? You should be resting after the chaotic night-"
"What am I doing here..." your voice said shaking.
He opened his mouth to speak but only stuttered an 'I-I...' then thought it best, apparently, to shut his mouth.
"William." You straightened and looked at him, his form black from the doors light. But you could tell he was not telling you something. His body language said that much.
Your head spun as you put more effort into your words. "What am I... d-doing here." You coughed into your arm and felt something wet on your arm in return, but you did not bother to look.
William took a step forwards, but you took a shaky step backwards.
"I... y-your neighbor called; I couldn't just do nothing when she told me that a man was at the door. I drove over to your place and found the door locked, and noises coming from within the house that sounded like a struggle... so I did what I could."
You raised your I head slightly, trying to read his eyes, but the feeling you felt was unbearable and you collapsed back onto the couch coughing so hard you felt like your insides were shutting down.
William rushed over, turned on the kitchen light, and began rummaging for something, mumbling something about him being a stupid fool and how he should have gotten there sooner.
You began looking at your arm but could not see what it was due to William coming back so quickly with a glass of water.
He gently sat your head in his lap as you drank the water, which was bitter. You knew he must of put medicine in the water due to the taste, but you didn't care.
Your eyes began to droop, and sleep once again overtook you.
A dream, about you and William, running through a field of flowers when you two were both younger. William, currently, was about 14, and you were 13. He had always been way taller, and skinnier due to him not being able to have any muscle. But that did not matter.
Your heart fluttered at every second you spent with him, yet you dare not tell him your feelings. They would be quite awkward indeed, for having known each-other for a long time as friends, and nothing more...
