Now about this story's future.
It will stay a free story, so no need to worry about ever paying for it. And I do intend on continuing it, but first I want to complete 'A Phantom's Tale' before I get started on the second one of this. So, it will be a while before the next book is released.
Now for some facts about the book itself. - This story is actually based on a roleplay I did on a game called Wolf Quest. The first chapter is relatively the same as what went down in the roleplay, but the rest was thought up later.
- The original characters were called Chromia (Faita), Draith and Fenris, and Victoria was originally called Gemma.
- Darkness and Silver were originally not siblings, but met later on.
- Darkness' injury was originally caused by a bear trap, not his own father like in the book.
- Darkness found a pup called Sana and she ended up finding a gem.
- Nevada was meant to get a gem.
- Matla was originally called Lightning, but considering all his siblings have strange names, I though he should have one too.
- This book was released in October 2017 and reached about 500 views by December. But between December 2017 and January 2018, the views started to skyrocket, reaching over a 1000. It stands now at 67.2k
- The Wolves of the Gems is by far my most popular book and has set me on a path to write wolf books and one day hope one will be published and maybe even a best-seller.
- This book first started as a comic with the original characters, but my skills in art back then would not have done this book justice.
- Snowstorm and her pack (including Stormcloud) are the oldest characters in this book. Snowstorm and her brother were created over 7 years ago, Rissca and her siblings close to 6 years, and Snowstorm's pups just over 4 years.
