ALEX'S POV

For the last couple of days, all I've been thinking about was my mate. Thinking about his hazel green eyes, his smile, his laugh; my mate was perfect. My wolf Oden was jumping and howling around happily that he found his mate. I chuckled.

Oden, you know the drill, I will not do that. I will not hurt my mate, that would make things worse. I sighed. He grumbled and hid deeper in my mind.

Fine, but once everything is settled, I want to see him.

Of course, he's your mate as well. I'm not that cruel

I started recalling when my mate said that he was having visions about the future, about his supposed powers that are going to be unleashed. That left me in question. What was going to happen? Is it going to be the rogues? Right then I didn't know my questions were going to be answered.

Alex, Levi, Sammy, Matt, Ian, Sebastian, Phoenix, to my office.

I started walking towards my dad's office, where I encountered my best friends Sammy, Matt, and Levi. We all looked at each other and nodded our heads knowing that when we are called it's usually something serious. We were all standing outside of the door hesitating to enter but we put on a brave face and I knocked on the door before entering. Upon entering we noticed Ian, Sebastian, and Phoenix were already in the room.

"now that all of you are here. I will get straight to the point. the rogues have been crossing our borders recently and more frequently, it's like they are looking for something or someone. fortunately, we were able to take out the eliminate force and the rest retreated suffering severe injuries, but not without injuring a few of our warriors; but none with serious injuries. We need to maximize our patrols, every morning and night. Alex, matt, Sammy, and Levi will take morning patrols and the rest of you will take night patrols. We will also be starting morning and afternoon training. Alex, Matt, Sammy, and Levi will take afternoon training since you guys are in school, and the rest of you will take morning training You may leave. I will inform you if there are any changes. And boys I better not hear you guys slacking off, If I do, there will be severe punishment. Especially Alex and matt; you guys are the next in line alpha and beta."

"Yes, Alpha," we said in unison and exited his office. the current beta and warriors all went their separate ways. Matt, Sammy, Levi, and I all went to the living room to discuss this matter. It was always a routine of ours to try to assess our enemies before the next attack.

"well, we all know from my father that the rogues started attacking recently, he also said that they had one focus on their mind, they wanted something but what? We don't have a lot of information to go on" I started, matt followed "since we attacked their forces in the last attack, they are going to be on the defense." Levi followed "they are probably planning another attack as we speak. They probably have a secret weapon." "We have to be on the defense and on the offense. Since we don't know what their plan is. We can never be too sure." Sammy stated.

I can't wait to kill those rogues; I don't want any of them to get near my mate.

Same but we must think carefully about how we are going to play this. I don't want my mate dragged into this any more than you do. I nodded my head in thought.

 "we'll go with this for now and if anything changes my dad will inform us." We all nodded our heads in agreement.

"Well anyway, let's all get ready to go to school, you know the alpha will kill us if he found out that we missed school," I said. We all had a moment of dread go down our spines as we knew what would happen. We all raced to our designated rooms to get ready.

Once I was in my room, I quickly grabbed my towel and went straight to my connected bathroom. I turned on the shower, stripped, and stepped in, washed my body, quickly got out; dried myself and changed. Then I proceeded to dry my hair, put on cologne, deodorant. I grabbed my bag, keys, and bag and phone then went downstairs.

"Alex, sweetie here goes some breakfast. Knowing your father, you had another meeting and it took a while, so I picked up some breakfast for you and the boys, so you won't be late." She gave me a container with a smile. "Have a great day son" I smiled and gave her a hug "love you, mom"

Sammy, Matt, Levi, let's go, or I'm leaving without you I called through the pack link. And started towards the door. I got in my jeep and waited for about 5 minutes before they all came rushing towards the car. Levi sat in the passenger seat, while Sammy and Matt sat in the back. I passed them the containers. My mom packed us some breakfast" I proceeded to exit the driveway.

We arrived at the school just in time. I quickly got out and quickly went to find my mate. I got there just in time to see my mate about to enter our first class. I tapped his shoulder and he jumped like 5 feet in the air and screamed. He turned around and clutched his chest and said "you freaking scared me. You want me to have a heart attack" I chuckled amusingly "no, then I would miss you" he blushed. My wolf howled in excitement. After the talk we had; We've been getting closer. He talks more, smiles more, laughs more, he just a happier person. He still gets rigid and nervous when we walk through the hallways. I noticed that one specific jock, Carter, who always tries in any way to bother Ashton every chance he gets; he always tries to pick a fight with him without any reason. It's really pissing me off. My wolf has been agitated because of those events; if something happens again, I may lose control.

When we turned the corner. I noticed Carter with his jock buddies huddling and joking around. Until he glared over at us more specifically at Ashton. If looks could kill, I gave him the most intense glare over at him that he faltered and looked away. Good, he should know what is best for him.

After class had finished, we exited the school, and walked toward my car, taking the opportunity that my friends weren't here.

"Ashton...Will you go out with me?
