ALEX'S POV

"If they didn't take anything from his house, what did they want from Ashton?" Levi asked.

"I don't know, but we shouldn't wait and find out," I replied.

I took out my phone and quickly contacted my father. once he answered. I quickly explained that Ashton was kidnapped.

Once I explained the situation to my father, he quickly said to meet him in his office once we arrive.

We quickly ran to the car and got in as we drove quickly as possible back to our house.

Odin was pushing through the surface even though I calmed him down earlier he was just getting angrier and I totally understood. This person must have been crazy to kidnap my mate they're going to pay with their life.

Once we arrived at the packhouse we quickly ran to my father's office I burst through his door panicked and anxious to find out the plan for this action.

Noticing Phoenix and other warriors were already in his office he quickly informed me of the plan he already sent out Warriors to catch any scent of Rogues to find their hideout they couldn't have taken him far because the Rogues aren't that smart they most probably took him to their own hideout.

once we figure out the location of their hideout. Then we will proceed with our plan.

I already have some warriors already checking out the borders to find out if they were rogue's lurking in the area. as of right now there hasn't been any sign of them but we will keep looking. right now, I want Alex, Sam, and matt to join phoenix in the patrols. we have to be on alert as they can appear at any given moment with or without Ashton. as for you Levi, you will be with the others and help prepare for any attack, also gather all the omegas, families and children and anyone else how can not fight take them to the safehouse. we have to prepare for any given outcome.

we all did what was told, and gathered with Phoenix and the other warriors, while Levi joined the others and started evacuating the rest of the pack.

I gathered with phoenix and the others. As he started out breaking us into groups to patrol our borders.

Odin was furious, no enraged, that our mate was taken from us.

I grabbed the shirt with Ashton's scent on it and passed it around to the other wolves and once we all caught his scent. We all went our divided ways; north, east, south, west to catch these rogues.

I felt the wind bristle through my fur. The felt the soil underneath my paws. I heard the leaves whistling through the air.

Running beside me were matt and sam. We raced across the forest trying to catch Ashton's scent. We went deeper and deeper into the forest trying to catch his scent but to no avail. We were reaching the borderline of our land. I started pacing back and forth the borderline of where our pack lands end. No scent of Ashton meant he was probably in the other areas that were currently being searched.

Odin was anxious for his mate. Not knowing anything was killing us. All the members were glancing at me with pity in their eyes. I growled. I didn't want people to pity me because of my mate. They don't know if he's alive or dead.

I hear a howl followed by a group of howls signifying that the other wolves searching was near. I called the rest of my group and we rendezvoused back to the starting point.

They all shook their heads signifying that they couldn't find his scent. I whined. My heart was breaking. Odin was pacing back and forth in anger and frustration. He wanted to find our mate and so do I.

We were all defeated and ready to regroup back. When something caught my attention.

I perked up trying to hear the sound again but to no avail " everybody quiet! I hear something." I shouted through the pack link.

Everybody shut their mouths and listened. Once again I heard a rustle in the trees. I looked back at the others and they nodded telling me they also heard the sound. We proceeded on through the forest to try and locate the sound. When the scent of rouges protruded through my nose. Odis growled. My paws swiftly hit the ground as the others did the same. We waited until they were in position. Until I caught Ashton's scent mixed with the rouges.

Alpha, I smell Ashton's scent and the rouges! We should go now he could be with him!

Calm down, I know you want to find your mate. But we have to be careful it could be a trap and they could be trying to lure us. We have to think this through. I don't want any lives to be lost on my watch. We have to think this through.

He was right. We had to think this through it could be a trap and one of us can be captured or killed. I sighed. And calmed Odis down. He was ready for a murder spree and kill anyone in our path.

HOLD POSITION HOLD POSITION! the alpha said through the link.

They're in position. Get ready to charge. On my mark. We all separated into the groups we were in later to surround the rogues.

we all burst forward in every direction, surrounding the enemy. they all got in a fighting stance and got ready to pounce until they saw our alpha, they had no other choice than to surrender.

Shift! commanded the alpha they all had a glare on their faces mixed with fear. they were hesitant to do so but shifted nonetheless.

we are not trying to cause you any problems, so we can let you free if you cooperate. I need you to answer this. have you seen this boy? he had something this with him.

I lifted a picture of him only showing his face. he had his favourite beanie on. they said nothing

the assumed the leader of the group spoke up.

NO! but I did see that beanie before some other rogues had it! I assumed they found it since a lot of humans like to hang out in that spot." I have a strong sense of smell so I caught the scent on the beanie."
