^^^^I imagined something like this^^^^

Ashton POV

The first thing I felt was the pulsating pain on the back of my skull. I moaned in pain. I slowly moved my legs and arms to get rid of the ache that surrounded my body but heard a noise confused to what it was. I moved again and heard something rattle. I finally decided to open my eyes but was blinded by the light in the middle of the room. Black dots rattled my vision; when they disappeared, I was finally able to be aware of my surroundings. "I thought this was a dream" I internally screamed in my head. I looked around and noticed I was in a dark room with no windows and only one lightbulb illuminating the room. the room was filthy the walls had dirt and grime. The cement floor was caked with something that I didn't want to know. As I moved around and tried to take in my surroundings. I felt something bound my hands and feet. When I looked down, I saw rusted chains wrapped around my ankles and wrists that led the wall farthest from the door. There was a disgusting looking bed in a corner and a small round wooden table with a pitcher of water and an empty glass cup.

I started to panic. I tugged on the chains trying to break them but to no avail. I looked around trying to find something sharp to undo the chains but couldn't see anything in the barely lit room. The flickering lightbulb was making It difficult to see. I was about to give up on the search until I spotted something glistening in the light. I took a closer look and saw a sharp piece of metal that was hidden in between the floor panels that could help me unlock the chains.

I slowly moved, dragging the chains behind me trying to reach the piece of metal on the ground. Once I was close enough, I reached out my hand and proceeded to grab the piece of metal, but I heard a clank and my hand stopped. I realized that I couldn't reach, the chain wasn't long enough. "shit" I whispered. I kept trying to grab the piece of metal but couldn't reach it. I kept reaching but still couldn't grab it. "fuck" I exasperated. I desperately reached out and touched it with the tip of my finger and I tried to bring it closer and finally succeeded. I grabbed the piece of metal and hid it in the waistband of my pants just in time before the door clanged opened and my kidnapper entered the room.

The door creaked, it slowly opened and revealed a man with short hair, a frown permanently etched on his face, a scar that ran across his face all the way to the base of his neck. He was a tall man with muscles that could kill. my gut was telling me not to mess with this guy.

"You're finally awake" he said. His voice rough and raspy. He started walking towards me. i squeezed myself to the back of the wall trying to get as far away from him as possible. He crouched in front of me and touched my cheek. I flinched.

"where am I?". willing myself not to show that I was nervous and scared in front of my kidnapper. I willed myself to be strong that I will find a way out of here and to go back home.

"Far away" was all he said, making me panic even more. Where was I? where did he take me? Will I ever go home?

Thoughts of terror and panic ran through me and I knew that I should find a means to escape as soon as possible. With the piece of metal still hidden in the waistband of my pants, I opted in using it to attack him but decided against it because the first thing that I need to do is get rid of these chains.

I sat on the filthy floor waiting for the guy's next move. he was way too calm for being a kidnapper. In my head I started thinking of ways to escape.

But before all of that I need to know where I am. Are we still in Missouri? I swallowed all the panic and gathered enough courage to ask my kidnapper some questions I am dying to know the answer for. I slowly looked towards my kidnapper, who was standing next to the door on the other side of the room.

"where are we?" he perked up but did not answer.

Where are we?" I asked again.

"are we still in Missouri?" he glanced towards me and narrowed his eyes. Showing his annoyance in my direction.

"Well if I'm going to be held against my will you can at least answer my question. Even if its with a simple nod or shake of your head."

"are we still in Missouri?"

He turned his head and looked at me. When I thought he was not going to answer, I hear his voice.

"No, and that is all I am going to answer" he said gruffly. I nodded.

We aren't in Missouri anymore. I know I should not panic, but I am totally freaking out. I really should've listened to alex and gone with him despite the panic of this morning. Alex must be totally freaking out. when I didn't get to school. He is most likely looking for me.

I did not ask anymore questions because I knew he was going to be in a foul mood. The dead silence was starting to become uncomfortable. Just as I thought it could not be any quieter.

I hear the scraping of the chair against the cement floor. I looked up and see him get up, open the door and leave the room.

I sighed. I was finally alone. I could finally devise a plan of escape. I stayed quiet for a moment checking to see if no one was coming. When I heard nothing, I took out the piece of metal from my waistband.

I started picking the lock on the chains carefully. Trying not to make too much noise. I was too focused on picking the lock on the chains that I didn't hear the door creak open. I gasped and hid the piece of metal back into the waistband of my pants hoping he didn't catch me.

Once I looked up, he entered with a tray of food, finally acknowledging the hunger since I didn't eat breakfast.

he placed the tray of food in front of me and filled the glass cup that was on the wooden table with water, then left the room once again.

I stared at the food cautiously, debating whether I should eat it. Maybe it is poisoned? Despite the hunger that was slowly eating my insides. I opted on just the glass of water. I rather starve to death then be poisoned. I slowly sipped on the glass of water.

Praying Alex will come soon.
